One thing I really wanted this season was for Krolia to have closure of her husband/partner’s death. She found out through the memory while Keith was sleeping and all I wanted was for her to get some peace.

Love how we still don’t know his name tho xD
Queerbaiting is when two same-sex characters act like they’re in a romantic relationship, get really close to kissing or otherwise put into intimate positions, etc on screen without actually doing anything that would confirm them to be in a relationship. Queerbaiting is not when the creators shoot down a ship you like, between two characters who have neither expressed any romantic interest in one another nor been put into fanservice-y positions with each other in canon. You searched for chemistry that wasn’t there, read too far into every line they said to one another, intentionally misinterpreted their anger and insults toward one another as “romantic”, used fucking colors in the backgrounds to say that the showrunners were going to make this relationship canon. That’s all you. The showrunners haven’t queerbaited anyone. Go back to watching shojo anime if you want to see queerbaiting.
Hey klancers another reach for you: any of y’all think it was really weird how Red didn’t respond to Lance after his scene with Allura???

Allura really could’ve gone up to Lance and said this at any point after their arrival to Earth; they could’ve put this scene pretty much ANYWHERE and it wouldn’t have diminished it. But they didn’t. They put it right before the scene where all the paladins call out to their lions

No one else had trouble calling their lions. Every other lion answered immediately to their paladin, and we know it’s not because Lance and Red don’t have enough bond–Red came to save Lance earlier in the season and in the series (forgive me for not remembering specifics on that part it’s still a little fuzzy for me lol)
But Lance is reaching out

And Red is silent

And only swoops in at the last second, when Lance is about to die

Y’all remember why Red responded to Lance at the start???

Conclusion? Red ships klance
But seriously–I think the real reason is Red wants a paladin who is true to himself, and in that moment Lance was falling back on who he used to be, not who he’d become (any thoughts???)
