But guys. What if…
What if the reason we get so attached to fictional characters is because they were supposed to be our soulmates but we were born in different universes
Why would you do this

I’ve seen a lot of posts theorizing that certain characters will die on Voltron: Legendary Defender, and there are some pretty detailed and thought-provoking posts on this subject.
There are, of course, all the theories that Shiro will die, and now there are theories surfacing that Lance will die … Heck, I’ve seen posts about almost every character dying! But there’s one missing, and I think it’s time to acknowledge it.
I’ve been thinking hard about it, and looking out for subtle bits of evidence, and at this point I am totally convinced that this character will die. You may not have noticed the signs, and it may be a bit shocking, but here goes. Brace yourselves.
The character I think will die is…..
……
…………
……….
………………
Zarkon.

Shocking, I know. But before you dismiss my theory, let me present you with some pretty convincing evidence:
1. He is Really Fucking Old
This disgusting lizard man has been alive for over 10,000 years. Sure, Allura and Coran have been alive for that long too, but they were cryogenically frozen. Zarkon, on the other hand, has just been strolling around avoiding death for millennia. Notice what Allura says in episode 1 when she finds out he is not dead yet:

Shit Allura, you’re right! He should really be dead by now. What the fuck.
2. He already looks like a corpse.

Building off of point #1: Wow, look at that. Zarkon looks like a combination between Voldemort and a skeleton. You know what those two things have in common? They are both dead. I don’t think that’s a coincidence.
3. He is a dick and deserves to die.
No further explanation needed.
4. Lance envisions Zarkon’s inevitable death.
In episode 10, Lance vividly imagines a future in which they defeat Zarkon:

Perhaps this is some subtle foreshadowing that Zarkon will die and that Lance (who will be completely fine, thanks) will step all over his ugly corpse.
And thus concludes my theory that of all the characters, Zarkon is the most likely to kick the bucket. Also I think all the paladins will survive, and Allura will take over the universe, and everything will be great. I know it’s a little far-fetched, but I believe there is a substantial stack of evidence in my favor. Of course, feel free to share your thoughts on the matter with me.
i’m cackling because i made this post right after s1 came out and GUESS WHAT I WAS FUCKING RIGHT

PULLING YOUR LEG

I don’t think ruggling is yanking or pulling…
Mostly about how he went to look for his dad in that galra prison and how he looked like he found someone else instead
Like can I just

This really doesn’t seem like someone who’s looking into an empty cell tbh
And uhhh

He seems to take a pretty long time to return from that “empty cell” there
Not to mention he seems uncharacteristically tense/snappy once he joins up with Rolo and Nyma again

As opposed to being disappointed and upset that he didn’t find his father??
And THEN he looks super distracted when he’s comforting pidge

And again in the beginning if the next episode

So basically what I’m saying is that Matt found another important character in that prison (probably the real shiro but who am I to say) and helped them escape separately for some reason, which is why it took him so long to get back to Rolo and Nyma.
Oh and did I mention he was gone for the entire final episode? Yeah he probably went to meet up with said prisoner
