Admin: Soooo… I just went on a theory rant with my dear friend about why Chat Noir is holding his Cataclysm up like a gun in Troublemaker.
Most people are saying that he’s just being a total dork? But can I shed some light on something?

We all know that nothing in Miraculous, by design or execution, is by accident. Chloe has stripes and a black and yellow design? Ended up getting the bee Miraculous.
In Rogercop, Chloe’s bracelet got stuck on Plagg’s head. There’s a particular design on the bracelet that we don’t see again until the last episode of the second season.
Mayura, using the peacock Miraculous (which is “damaged”). Plagg tells Adrien he cant transform because if the bracelet gets absorbed with him, it could damage the ring.
I also believe the fandom headcanon that Chat Noir hangs out at Marinettes place will become canon, because she has multiple cat plushies on her bed and around her room.
ANYWAY. Back to the point.
Here Chat is protecting Ladybug and wielding his Cataclysm like he’s about to fire it, which we know he can’t.
Or… can he?
In some of the early concepts for the creation of the show, Chat Noir is designed using a destructive ability called Black Storm, which kind of looks like a madoken.
So…
What if its foreshadowing for our heroes to have expansions to their powers?

guys guys guys I was watching animan today and in the beginning when marinette was reading the adrien magazine, she said something along the lines of “leo: you’re heart will roar” and on the page it was what I assume to be daily horoscopes bc it had a bunch of zodiac signs. marinette was reading the one for leo. marinette is a leo and her birthday is in either july or august change my mind.

I don’t have time to go as in depth as i want to but heres the one I feel like I have to convince you of:

anyways this makes for the messiest, stupidest reveal
It’s been a long time since I was a Homestuck, and I never actually understood ashen very well, but I definitely remember that it was a three-person relationship. So does the first image mean that Marinette is mediating between Adrien and Chat? Or that Adrien and Chat both want Marinette to mediate between them and someone else/want someone else to mediate between them and Marinette?
The two panels at the bottom are clearly suggesting that Adrien would mediate between Marinette and Chloe, but I don’t know what the situation with Chat would be.
The chart is about how they feel towards each other, not what relationship they’re in! I should have specified, haha. Here’s what’s going on:
Marinette (and consequently also ladybug) is flush for adrien but pale for chat noir. Adrien (and consequently also chat noir) is flush for ladybug but has an ash crush on marinette (and chloe, but she’s not in the lovesquare so she doesn’t get to be in my diagram.)
theres not a huge amount of precedent in homestuck canon for what an ash relationship looks like, or how you even have an ash crush, like so i’m taking some liberties… and twisting things to root adrien’s ash feelings in caring about chloe and marinette rather than being annoyed at them.
maybe he’s a little annoyed. Chloe is his oldest friend and he knows she can be too much, but she’s also capable of being better, and deserves kindness. Marinette is incredible but when she lets chloe get under her skin she can be so sharp. he wants to give them a good talking to, but romantically. and make sure they are nice to each other, on a candle-lit date. He wants to put them in the get-along shirt when they are to mean, and make them appreciate the good qualities he can see in them.
