Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir is an amazing cartoon, you should watch it!
I ship Marinette x Adrien / Ladybug x Cat Noir / Marinette x Cat Noir / Adrien x Ladybug (Well, they’re the same person but with different personalities so yeah, still counts).

Okay, so let’s real talk real quick. Y’all remember season 2 of miraculous? Episode 3? The Prime Queen one? Kay so honestly, that episode was a masterpiece when it came to Alya’s character, because like, we knew she was good, but she’s actually: ‘Hey I was gonna watch a show about Ladybug (her favourite superhero by the way) with my family, but my best friend called me to help her babysit so imma do that instead.’ levels of good. And yes:
She was gonna watch the show with her family if Marinette hadn’t called. But Marinette did, and so now Alya is helping her babysit, but she gets to watch the show anyway so its fine. Then Marinette starts babbling: “Oh! I forgot to…uh, tell my bakery something. They’re in the parents downstairs.”
And Alya’s confused because who wouldn’t be? It’s Marinette mixing up her words when she’s nervous. And Alya knows this. She knows Marinette’s way with words when she’s nervous, so she’s thinking: “Why is Marinette nervous?” Now let’s consider for a moment, what if Alya knew Marinette was Ladybug? or at least suspected it at this point. Ladybug isn’t on TV, needs to get on TV and Marinette is very nervously trying to leave the room as quickly as possible with a half thought out lie: “Sometimes it can take a while.”
“They don’t always understand me.”
Look at her face! This is the face she makes when Marinette is trying to create an excuse to see Adrien, but she’s not trying to see Adrien, she’s trying to leave the room! Why would leaving the room be so important if she wasn’t trying to go somewhere else? So Let’s say Alya knows Marinette is Ladybug and at this point is humouring her by pretending to believe her lie. That would make sense. If not, Alya would have probably offered to go talk to Marinette’s parents with her so that they could get back to the show quicker, but she didn’t. Instead she’s choosing to go along with this lie about her talking to her parents (which probably ends up taking HOURS in show time, considering by the time Marinette gets back its dark and Manon is asleep) so that Marinette can leave sooner. So that Ladybug can go on TV.
Plus, when Marinette starts rambling on (which I remind you, Alya knows Marinette does when she’s nervous) she TELLS her to leave:
Marinette: “And when I explain, w-actually its not their fault they-”
Alya: “Marinette?”
Marinette: *nervous* “Yes?”
Alya:“GO!”
Maybe so she can get to the TV station on time?
And then about a minute after Marinette has left, Ladybug finally arrives on screen? Alya HAS to know. She’s a good person, and not to mention a REALLY good journalist. Heck, she get’s the fox miraculous in episode 10 because she knows how to sus people out, figure out what they want and make an illusion. So to say she’d be able to do the same thing for her best friend is an understatement. She also get’s it because Ladybug trusts her. “What reason does Ladybug have to trust me?” Alya might think in confusion. Or: “What reason does Marinette have to trust me?” Alya might think in confidence.
And at the end of the episode when Marinette finally get’s back? CONVENIENTLY after the akuma attack?: “I’m so sorry Alya! I had no idea it would take so long to talk to my parents!” Alya isn’t even mad, even though Marinette left her for so long AFTER inviting her over and while Marinette was gone she got kidnapped! Personally? I’d have some harsh words along the lines of: “Why were you gone so long? What the heck!?”. Unless of course, my friend was the superhero that ended up saving me. Which Marinette is. And Alya probably knows she is.
So bottom line is, this episode has convinced me that Alya absolutely knows Marinette is Ladybug, or at the very least suspects it. Why else would she be so insistent on letting Marinette know it would be okay if she knew in episode 10? when she tells Marinette if she was Ladybug, she’d cover for her, help her get out of class, bring her work. She knows, and she’s very subtly trying to let Marinette know that. But episode 10 taught her that Marinette thinking her identity is unknown gives her peace of mind, so she won’t try to tell Marinette anymore. Because a worried Marinette is a worried Ladybug, and that won’t do Paris any good.
So yeah, I like this episode and I couldn’t stop giggling like a little bitch through my pot noodle while I watched it because Alya is amazing and I just love her so much :3

Marinette: Ok, so how come everytime you speak I want to ask for an apology, draw on gifts you give, and ask you if your dad could buy you some class?
Chloe: I used to be….I used to not be super nice and I’m trying to be better. Ladybug entrusted me with a miraculous so I’m Queen Bee and save people
Marinette: Final question for now: why do I want to laugh or call you a thief?

Marinette: Considering I found Adrien’s schedule on my computer and we’re apparently not dating, I’ve been told I’ve created an album cover, have only 2 outfits, and I’m talking to you I’m going to say yes. I’m weird.
(if petty Nette then it would be more “for some reason I really want to grab it, call him Hawky, discuss the weather, ask why babies, and diss his fashion choices.’)

Marinette: Thanks for supporting me then and not treating me like I’m about to break. Had a bunch of people today treat me like a toddler as if I’ve forgotten how to open doors or eat. It’s nice talking to you
Chat: No problem, thanks for appreciating me. I’m glad you’re doing ok. I know how strong, resourceful, brave, and incredible you are but I was afraid you would have forgotten that. Even more frightened in your confused state Hawkmoth may have done something to influence you, but…I’m not disappointed. You always do exceed my expectations.
Marinette: It’s weird, I’ve been thinking about you and akumas all day. You being here I feel safe, relaxed, and happy, as if I could trust you with anything. Like you are the one person who would never disappoint me. You probably hear that a lot as you’re a superhero. I don’t know. It’s like your someone who I’ve always known or you being here gives me permission to relax. That I don’t have be scared and everything will be fine.
Chat: Mari-
Marinette: But I also feel like telling you take a hint, say your puns are lame, and request you stop getting hit by attacks so you don’t become a slave
Chat: Are you sure you’ve lost your memories?
Marinette: Yes, kitty.
Sit in silence for a short while
Marinette: Chat, are you sure you aren’t Adrien because you look really alike
Sometime After Alya, Nino, and Chloe get to keep their miraculous.
Akuma: *Attacks*
Marinette: I need to go to the bathroom. *Rushes out*
Adrien: I need to go to the bathroom too. *Rushes out*
Alya: I left something in my locker. *Rushes out*
Nino: I left something in my locker as well. *Rushes out.
Chloe: Pollen, Buzz On!
An Adrinette fic where they start dating but instead of Marinette being harassed by the press and jealous fans, the paparazzi are all too intimidated by Nadya to harass her favorite babysitter, and Adrien’s fans decide that Marinette is the cutest thing ever, fall in love with her Princess Di-style, and form a vigilante Marinette Defense Fan Squad that follows her around and she’s constantly having to give them the slip to transform. And then one day she confronts Adrien and says “You need to do something about your fans” and he says “but they love you” and she says “yeah but they won’t leave me alone and I can’t tell you why but that’s really inconvenient” and then he says “well I can’t tell you why but it’s better for the entire city if they’re following you as opposed to following me.” To which Marinette says, “Think again, pal.” And that eventually leads to a post-dating reveal.

He would definitely be a gift from Marinette’s grandma from her travels
He’s so cute
His name is Oliver because he usually olive green
Oh no Chat Noir is rubbing off on her
But look at him he’s totally an Oliver
Marinette loves him when ever she’s home he’s just hanging put on her shoulder
He’s kinda like Pastel (from tangle) he can change into any color
He helps Marinette match colors when Marinette is designing
It took a while to teach him that Tikki is not food
But he learned after a couple of weeks
It’s really cute
He has a nice size tank by Marinette’s bed
It’s a bit of the problem when Chat comes over because his cat side is telling him to torture the poor thing
(A/N: my cat chases lizards mutilated them but doesn’t kill them)
One day the school has pet day
Everybody with a pet brings theirs to school
It’s total chaos, but nobody cares
Lila of course is being her jerky self to Marinette
The girl actually had the gol to threaten Oliver in class
Marinette was so mad that an akuma actually came
Everybody watched as it started to flutter to Marinette
Everybody is freaking out but are frozen in place
Then suddenly a pink tongue shoots out and catches an Akuma
It’s Oliver he ate the Akuma
Everybody stared at the little lizard on Marinette Shoulder
Is he okay?
He’s not being akumatized so I guess so
Maybe I should take him to the vet
Marinette slowly walked out of the classroom
Oliver was fine
He actually likes the taste of evil apparently
Hawkmoth: Did you…did you just grab my akuma?
Marinette: Sure did Hawky.
Hawkmoth: I’m going to guess this is another vent session for you?
Marinette: Maybe…
Hawkmoth: Don’t you have friends you can do this with?
Marinette: You are just like everyone else never listening. OK, my ‘friends’ are kind of trash. They dismiss any negative feelings I may have as being related to a boy. Lila comes in with all her lies - by the way, I’ve met Jagged and he never had a cat - then just believe her
Hawkmoth: Huh-uh
Marinette: By the way, thanks for the Nine Nine recommendation. Totally worth it. But how dare you not tell me we’re in between seasons and that cliff hanger?
Hawkmoth: You watched it all in a week?
Marinette: Would have done it in 3 days but school apparently is a thing
Hawkmoth: There are 112 episodes
Marinette: That’s only 45 hours.
Hawkmoth: You have so much potential if you just-
Marinette: Did get me thinking. Why not akumatise a thief or a corrupt cop or someone who already had the skills to take a miraculous?
Hawkmoth: Usually if they’re competent they may just take it for themselves
Marinette: OK, ok, but surely that is still a better bet than, say, sending a baby
Hawkmoth: You are still on that?
Marinette: Seriously, why? And why twice? Why -
Hawkmoth: It’s about opportunity
Marinette: I miss the old you. Back when you were all ‘you have potential’ and ‘I’ll darken your heart.’ Now you’re just all ‘blah, blah, this conversation is boring blah blah’
Hawkmoth: If you aren’t going to let me akumatise you can I go?
Marinette: Can I just finish venting first?
Hawkmoth: …..Fine. But when I akumatise your parents next week it’s on you
Marinette: Nah, they won’t fall for it, but fine. Dad is annoying anyway. Last night Chat just crashes onto my roof and because I’m spooked I just tell him I love him. So dad sees this and decides to invite him to breakfast
Hawkmoth: So, you are venting because chat noir, the person I am trying to get the miraculous of, is coming to your house, completely relaxed, and you’ll be spending time with him?
Marinette: Yeah, like he’s a hero, surely he would have better things to do
Hawkmoth: You know that is-
Marinette: I know, I know, perfect little agent. Problem is you’ve shown more emotions means stronger powers and I’m not super negative or want to hurt him so at worst I would just be like, I don’t know, the Piratcy. A pirate taking away people’s privacy or some really lame pun. Then chat would defeat me because, well, you always lose even when you clearly spend months on a perfect plan because you forget lucky charm is a thing or to actually take the miraculous or don’t account for decoys. So, is it even worth trying?
Hawkmoth: You are my least favourite Parisian
Marinette: So…have any love advice? Netflix recommendations? Good french toast recipes?
Hawkmoth: ….
Marinette:…..
Hawkmoth: Just be honest, patient, and respect their wishes. The Good Place is amazing and A Series of Unfortunate Events has season 3 starting in two weeks. Egg, milk, cinnamon, a tiny dash of vanilla, a touch of sugar, use Challah bread thickly cut, cook in butter. Chocolate in the middle if you’re looking for something more
