okay but Keith getting hit by sudden waves of affection
He never really knows how to go about showing affection - it’s not like he really learned how to deal with it since he was tossed around from home to home. But with Lance, he just kinda. Flops.
Lance will be sitting in bed on his tablet or flipping through some Altean book and Keith will just climb into his lap and sit there until Lance wraps his arm around him. Or Keith will walk up to Lance after a training session and stand in front of him with soft, pleading eyes, and wait for Lance to open his arms up for him. When they’re in the lounge Keith will sometimes drape himself across Lance’s lap, nudging his head into Lance’s hand until he starts to card his fingers through Keith’s hair.
Lance used to pretend to be annoyed by it, thinking it would make Keith want to do it more, but instead, he saw Keith pulling back. Keith had thought he overstepped, crossed a line that shouldn’t have been crossed. So Lance started to pull Keith into his lap when he passed by, kiss his forehead, and push him back off, laughing at the shocked look on Keith’s face. Thankfully it worked - Keith started to show his cute, weird affections more and more. Now, Lance embraces it enough for the both of them - embraces Keith enough for the both of them.
