Decided to draw some klangst from one of @thesearchingastronaut’s streams.
Basically, it was everyone was talking about their family stories and Keith was excluded because he didn’t really have a family to talk about. And so later Lance finds him having a breakdown and comforts our sad child.
Keith finds Lance in the aftermath of battle, his suit splintered and frayed. His eyes land on the blood and his heart drops. There’s so much of it, he thinks, moving forward to keel beside Lance. He hopes that Lance is just overreacting, that the injury is nothing to worry too much about until he notices the large tear in the side of Lance’s paladin suit. Its stained a dark red at the edges and panic settles into the hollows of Keith’s chest. They couldn’t lose Lance.
Lance’s eyes crack open with significant effort. His gaze is aimless and dream-like. His eyes land on Keith’s after a moment and he offers a weak smile, that signature smirk Keith hates to admit he’s grown to love. Lance parts his lips slightly, drawing a shaking breath. With a quiet voice, he whispers finally:
“Hasta la later, Keith.”

Art Class! AU!
I’ve started writing this Art AU on AO3, and here are some sneak peaks before the first chapter!
Keith is a natural artist who has social anxiety and gets irritated by the smallest things. Junior, 16
Lance isn’t the best at drawing but his ego helps cover that up. Junior, 17
Hunk took the class to see how it’d be, and draws mostly on photoshop rather than on paper. Junior, 16
Pidge is into cool, weird doodles. Whenever told to draw or make something, she puts a spin on it. Sophomore, 15
Shiro doesn’t draw much, but knows how to mostly. He’s into crafts more than sketches. Senior, 18
Allura is a realistic drawer, and can’t for the life of her sketch a cartoon character. (Reason I didn’t put her drawing in with the others bc I don’t do realistic. Sorry) Senior, 17
Coran is the art teacher, and can practically draw and craft anything. He tries to do a little of everyone’s style in the class and likes raising hell too. Age, 23
