okay but klance falling for the little things in each other
Lance noticing how Keith will only open himself up to those he knows best. How he can smile around everyone, but only him and the other paladins get to see the real one. The one that’s uninhibited and natural, not forced and polite. Lance notices how he always tends to smirk before it pulls into a grin before it pulls into a smile.
Keith noticing how Lance never stops sharing. How he shares his food with the mice or his ideas with the other paladins. How he always knows at least a little something about the situation at hand and can share some advice. How whenever he smiles or laughs, it’s always along with others. Never at them or about them, but instead shares in their joy, shares in their laughter.
Both of them noticing how much the other tends to brush up against them. How little pats on the shoulder slowly become squeezes. How those evolve into one-armed hugs, and how those move into arms slung around each other. How eventually, whenever they’re in the room with each other, they tend to gravitate towards each other, some part of them always coming to touch the other.
How their hearts start to race when their knuckles brush against each other. Their smiles tend to be accompanied by blushing cheeks. Their eyes are filled with more than a sense of friendship and comfort. Their smiles grow into something different when their alone, something only for the other to see. It’s sweet and soft, fond and unadulterated. It’s so much and so much more.
