little book to introduce kids to being trans. might finish if i have time
i want it, i got it 😔💅
joking but i kind of wish there was a scene about the aftermath of dragons disappearing, where like the remaining warlords show up at New Berk pissed off like “What the fuck?? Where are they?!?!!?” and Hiccup’s like “I literally don’t know what you’re talking about, we NEVER had dragons” while pregnant Astrid stands behind him, giving them all the middle finger
I live for this.

I finished watching Trollhunters and I can’t express how much I loved it!
It was so good! I had to sit down and draw them . ❤️

In a stunning display of paternal affection, Gabriel finally does come in for some parent day activity. Adrien is beside himself and drags his father around to meet his friends. Rose, Kim, Nathanael… Adrien introduces them all with enthusiasm. Gabriel really doesn’t care about meeting them, but he doesn’t outright say that to his son.
What he does care about is Miss Dupain-Cheng’s earrings. He catches sight of them as she’s turning to say something to her friend. They sparkle in the light just as he looks across the room at her. They’re plain, a deep red, but he’s poured over that miraculous book enough to know that they’re very similar. Very, very similar.
Adrien sees his father staring at Marinette and tows him over to her. Of course he would want his father to get to know Marinette better. They both like fashion. She’s polite and cheerful and helpful. She’s probably one of the only friends his father would allow to visit house. And Adrien would love it if he could spend more time with her.
Gabriel allows himself to be led, though he still pretends to be disinterested. Just to keep up appearances. Adrien makes some hasty introductions, though his father is barely listening. Instead, he’s staring at the girl’s ears. They’re hard to see now that she’s looking at him directly. It’s all he can do from reaching forward and turning her head with his hand for a better look.
But Marinette is fidgety and nervous, and Gabriel feels disappointment set in. There’s no way this timid, stuttering girl could be the Ladybug that reacts so coolly under pressure.
The conversation tapers off awkwardly, and she turns to scoot away, face pink in embarrassment. But those earrings. They do look so much like the ladybug miraculous.
"Excuse me, Miss Marinette.“
"Y-yes?!” The girl turns back to him so fast that she almost loses her balance. Adrien perks up in excitement that his father wants to continue speaking with one of his friends.
"Those are very nice earrings. Would you allow me to see them for a moment?“
One of Marinette’s hands wanders up to her ear, covering the jewel. At first, she only appears surprised, but her expression quickly becomes guarded, all traces of social anxiety gone. The change is startling. "I’d rather not, sir,” she says clearly.
This chapter is a little shorter, but it kind of sets up stuff to get the ball rolling for future chapters. You’ll see what happens next time. I will say that I was so unsettled by my own cliffhanger that I started the next chapter immediately after finishing this one. XD

Chapter 7
“Chloe?”
Adrien and Marinette stared at her with equally bewildered expressions as she glared daggers through them.
“What are you doing here? In my house? Who let you in?” Marinette instinctively bristled, but Chloe simply rolled her eyes and crossed her arms over her chest.
“I came to your pathetic hovel to…ask for your help,” she said the last word with a hint of disgust.
“You want my help?” Marinette cocked a brow.
“Yes, don’t get all sappy on me. I still hate you, but I hate you less right now, so I’m calling a temporary truce,” she explained, shifting her weight a little.
“And just why should I help you?” Marinette asked, leaning back in her chair and crossing her arms.
“Because I think it will be mutually beneficial to both of us,” Chloe replied, glancing around the room with a wrinkled nose before settling back on Marinette.
“What exactly is it that you want, Chloe?” Adrien asked, and she flicked her gaze to him as if noticing him for the first time.
“Why are you here?”
“Adrien and I are friends, Chloe. He can hang out with me if he wants.” Chloe held up a hand to silence her mid-sentence, but Marinette ignored her as she waved her statement away.
“No, I know you two are friends; it’s a fact that has made me question Adrien’s sanity for quite some time now, but I just thought you ditched everyone at Francoise-Dupont,” Chloe said with a shrug. “We can discuss it later, right now I have bigger things to deal with. I know you hate Lila, and now I hate Lila because she’s getting in my way. You were the only real rival I had at school, so if anyone can help me destroy her it’s you, so I’ve been thinking-”
“Chloe, do you really think taking Lila down is the best way to go?” Adrien scolded, but she simply blinked at him.
“Adrikins, how long have you known me?” She laughed, placing a hand on her hip. “Taking people down is what I do.”
“So why do you need my help exactly?” Marinette asked.
Manon: hey, mr. model, can we go to the park?
Adrien, helping babysit because of Alya’s meddling: what did Marinette say?
Manon: she said no
Adrien: so why are you asking me?
Manon: because she’s not the boss of you
Adrien, internally: it’s a trap it’s a trap it’s a trap it’s a trap
Yes, I am here.
