Marinette had meningitis when she was eight and lost her hearing because of nerve damage
She can kind of read lips but has learned LSF and taught Alya some
She can’t pronounce façade correctly, which wouldn’t have been a big issue except she did an entire presentation on Roman architecture in seventh grade
The entire class has essentially learned the basics of sign language (except for Chloe)
Chloe has tried learning some insults to sign to Marinette
Whenever Chloe asks tells one of their classmates to show her how to sign a mean insult, they just teach her really wierd things
Rose taught her to sign “I love you” instead of “You’re disgusting”
Max taught her to sign “I have explosive diarrhea” instead of “You suck”
Alex taught her some VERY INAPPROPRIATE THINGS instead of “Your hair looks like a mop”
Marinette knows that the class is just messing with Chloe and it’s hiLARIOUS
Meeting Tikki for the first time was disasterous
It took Tikki a few minutes to figure out that Marinette was deaf
Since Tikki can’t sign with her little nub hands, Marinette keeps a little whiteboard and marker with her
She’s still deaf when she’s LB, which is great when the akuma’s attacks are sound based
She’s not very good at being quiet
Or loud
Adrien is learning LSF from Nino
LBs and CNs first interaction was a little rough cuz LB couldn’t really tell what this dumb furry was saying
CN learns to talk a little slower so she can tell what he’s saying
The first time CN actually successfully signs something to LB she’s fLOORED
The second time he signs something, she’s less excited because it was a p u n
LB and CN have made some secret hand gestures for plans when going up against akumas
Communicating during fighting is really difficult and annoying but they manage
LB almost got her head knocked off by a car flying at her from behind (but she saw the shadow and managed to get out of the way)

When Adrien Agreste is scheduled to go to a Military School in Germany, Chat Noir must make a critical decision. Does he give up his Miraculous? Or does he give up Adrien?

I’ve written court scenes before, but always in America. France has slightly different protocol when it comes to the Justice system. But, I’m not an expert. One noticeable change is that they don’t have a Jury in cases of terrorism, the other is that they have 9 judges (which is kind of like a jury) with one presiding judge called a president, who does most of the questioning. I’m sure there’s plenty more differences, but this is what I’m going with because I couldn’t find many english articles to help. So lawyers out there, sorry!

It is generally known to wear a suit to court. Adrien was, in fact, suited up, though Skintight leather was a bit different from what everyone else was wearing. And they weren’t even in the courtroom yet.
Chat Noir and Ladybug sat together on a bench, outside the courtroom, in a secluded hallway. Vaulted ceilings and polish marble added to the depressing aura of the hall. Dr. Florin Rayne stood nearby, glancing over his notes. He was the lawyer that Mayor Bourgeois had appointed to run this trial. He seemed like a nice man, a little cold, but he was sharp as a tack and the best in the business.
