Shiro being MIA and in need of help in season 3 is what will bring them together now

even further symbolism: a red and blue star feature in the astral plane where Shiro and Zarkon battle for control over the black lion. Plus the two stars are seen over and over again throughout the whole battle

alright so, i wanted to point this out because i noticed this when i was hosting that 80s voltron binge stream
in the original voltron, Allura was the pilot of the blue lion, and Keith was the pilot of the black one, and they became a couple
and in the original, voltron’s forehead was black and blue
so………
i’m just sayin’
