In a stunning display of paternal affection, Gabriel finally does come in for some parent day activity. Adrien is beside himself and drags his father around to meet his friends. Rose, Kim, Nathanael… Adrien introduces them all with enthusiasm. Gabriel really doesn’t care about meeting them, but he doesn’t outright say that to his son.

What he does care about is Miss Dupain-Cheng’s earrings. He catches sight of them as she’s turning to say something to her friend. They sparkle in the light just as he looks across the room at her. They’re plain, a deep red, but he’s poured over that miraculous book enough to know that they’re very similar. Very, very similar.

Adrien sees his father staring at Marinette and tows him over to her. Of course he would want his father to get to know Marinette better. They both like fashion. She’s polite and cheerful and helpful. She’s probably one of the only friends his father would allow to visit house. And Adrien would love it if he could spend more time with her.

Gabriel allows himself to be led, though he still pretends to be disinterested. Just to keep up appearances. Adrien makes some hasty introductions, though his father is barely listening. Instead, he’s staring at the girl’s ears. They’re hard to see now that she’s looking at him directly. It’s all he can do from reaching forward and turning her head with his hand for a better look.

But Marinette is fidgety and nervous, and Gabriel feels disappointment set in. There’s no way this timid, stuttering girl could be the Ladybug that reacts so coolly under pressure.

The conversation tapers off awkwardly, and she turns to scoot away, face pink in embarrassment. But those earrings. They do look so much like the ladybug miraculous.

"Excuse me, Miss Marinette.“

"Y-yes?!” The girl turns back to him so fast that she almost loses her balance. Adrien perks up in excitement that his father wants to continue speaking with one of his friends.

"Those are very nice earrings. Would you allow me to see them for a moment?“

One of Marinette’s hands wanders up to her ear, covering the jewel. At first, she only appears surprised, but her expression quickly becomes guarded, all traces of social anxiety gone. The change is startling. "I’d rather not, sir,” she says clearly.

Chapter 2

Summary: Jack Skellington meets Sally after she is kidnapped by Oogie’s henchmen. The Pumpkin King then makes time to introduce her to the wonderful things Halloween Town has to offer. The two of them develop a new friendship and some chemistry.

Pairings: Jack Skellington/Sally

A pair of small black heels traced the side of the metallic floor beneath her. A ragdoll sat on the mattress placed to the side of the room. She was rather tall and wore a stitched, multicolored dress made out of nothing but spare cloth. Her hair was made of red yarn and came all the way to her lower black. Her skin consisted of blue cloth that was stitched accordingly along her body. Long, black eyelashes were attached to the ends of her eyelids and added a feminine touch to the doll.

Sally Finklestein looks down and observes the nuts and bolts mounted to the floor. Her room was fairly empty, save for a desk that contained her sewing machine and a closet placed to the side filled with her creations. A bright line shines through the bars placed on her window and provides several rays of the pumpkin sun. She wished she could feel the warmth from them like everyone else could.

She turns to the window and watches the busy scene of the streets beneath the tower. Many monsters and creatures walk on the sidewalks and on the rhinestone paths. They varied from simple witches to grotesque beings. They were all citizens of Halloween Town and were to fulfill their duty of scaring the living.

From afar, Sally could spot the Skellington Manor. The mansion towered over all of Halloween Town and was the residency to the King. She had never set foot in the place but could see the King’s observatory from her own window. Some nights she would watch the tall man pace around in that room for hours. She had little idea as to what he was doing in there. She assumed it was important Kingly stuff or something of the matter.

keith and shiro throwbacks, duh. very good. angst about shiro. romelle being everyone‘s mood, hunk and romelle are bff‘s. team going on an adventure. lance‘s butt. they smol. shiro saying ‘sometimes we all need a hand’. shiro teaching keith how to fly the bike, keith being proud of his pop. galaxy garrison merch lol, shiro and adam‘s argument is very reasonable and i respect their decisions, shiro talking about adam without having to come out and explain first bc guess what het people don‘t need to do that either so that‘s a good thing, keith knows about adam, paladins landing on a pile and coran sitting on them like this. keith saving shiro with the power of love! ‘we saved each other’
