I’ve seen a lot of… interesting takes on the new promo. Takes about Sapphire being demonized, takes about how there’s no more healthy relationships in SU. Well, I’m here to tell you a shocking fact, a fact that may very well blow your mind.
Relationships aren’t simple.
There’s fights. There’s arguments. And sometimes there’s an outside force (in this case, Rose being Pink Diamond) that puts an overwhelming amount of stress in that relationship, and the participants in that relationship need to have some time to themselves to process it.
And that’s good! You know why? Because after that split, you come back with a better understanding of each other. You come back, you grow even closer to your partner, and there’s better communication. This is not inherently unhealthy you guys.
Like I said, Ruby and Sapphire are under a lot of stress right now. The aforementioned PD reveal, the differing opinions between the two, have caused them to split temporarily. They both need some time for themselves to process this. And like I said, they’ll come back to each other after this, and they’re gonna be stronger for it. Ruby and Sapphire are the most healthy, understanding couple of the show, and they’re gonna get through this. They’ve done it before, after all.
