listen….i think the reason that black didn’t respond to shiro isn’t because keith is better fit to be the black paladin……………i’m like 99.9% sure that the galra implanted something in him while he was in captivity and that eventually he’s not going to be able to be in control of himself and that’s why black couldn’t let him be in control of voltron
this is a flashback he has, it’s followed by him being injected and then being placed in some liquid pod as the the galra experimenting say it’s stage one
the galra in charge says this immediately after he watches shiro escape in one of the pods, he doesn’t seem all that worried
and finally shiro says this after lance asks him if he’s feeling better. listen he probably got put in a pod, so he should be feeling well at least physically but mentally….
all i’m saying is that i don’t think the black lion rejected him because she thinks keith is a better leader than him (that’s already been proven wrong in canon) but i genuinely believe she senses something off about him or his quintessence
me: don’t expect much from season 3 so you don’t get disappointed
me, after watching season 3:
lance sharpshooting with the RED bayard is proof that good karma exists
can you BELIEVE its canon that lance is keith’s impulse control? like, the man that is keith’s brotherly figure struggles to get keith to back down, but the moment lance says One thing keith is suddenly puttin the claws away
lance??? helping keith lead and supporting him?? it’s more likely than you think
