So we should get Luka and Marinette in canon, but their relationship is what makes Adrien realize that he likes Marinette.
Why Lukanette deserves recognition:
- He cheered Marinette the FIRST TIME they met and gave her one of his guitar picks which I think is the sweetest form of love.
- Marinette is able to communicate with Luka a lot better than Adrien. She may still stutter but she’s able to still have a normal conversation with him. AND LUKA DOES NOT EVEN MIND HER STUTTERING. HE FUCKING LOVES HER LIKE THAT.
- They’re literally a balanced as fuck couple. They’re like ying and yang.
- Luka said Marinette is literally the song inside his head since the day they met aND IF THAT IS NOT THE SWEETEST THING ANYONE HAS EVER SAID I-
- They’re literally the cutest when they’re angry
- Luka is a pure sweetheart.
- HE WAS AKUMATIZED BUT DIDNT EVEN THINK ABOUT HURTING MARINETTE.
- Marinette is literally Luka’s peace. He probably thinks about her and just feel calm and happy.
- LUKA LITERALLY WILLING TO LET MARINETTE BE WITH ADRIEN WHEN HE REALIZES SHE LOVES HIM BECAUSE HE JUST WANTS HER TO BE HAPPY INSTEAD OF TRYING TO MAKE HIM HAPPY I AM SO SAD/HAPPY FOR MY BOY TRYING TO MAKE HER SO HAPPY
I would just like to add…
Luka expresses his feelings towards Marinette to let her know how he felt towards her and what she means to him. Even if she ended up with Adrien, he needed to let her know that she was someone important in his life and that whatever she decides, he’ll always be there.

to her throughout the show. The one that is completely different from

Peach pink like his lips and mint green like his eyes. Okay.
We all were like yeah that’s obviously representing Adrien because he has green eyes mkay or even it being Chat Noir at some point in time, because you know.
But now we have another love interest that can fit into this!
Okay, I’ll give you the peach pink lips. But he doesn’t have green eyes!
That’s what you’re thinking, right? Then let me draw your attention to…
Look at those beautiful light green eyes. The eyes that Marinette looked into when he confessed to her for the first time.
Out of all the colors his eyes could’ve been, or the blue they could’ve stayed, they happened to make them green. Coincidence? I don’t think so. They don’t even match his outfit.

silencer au where silencer does get ladybug’s miraculous, but upon seeing it’s marinette behind the mask- marinette, who stood up for him and their friends, who he allowed himself to be akumatized to defend- is horrified by what he’s done because he told her he wouldn’t hurt her, ignored her pleas to not be on hawk moth’s side, and turned right around to fight ladybug- to fight her
and it’s devastating and he falls to his knees and releases the voices, and when she gets hers back he looks up with such a sadness in his eyes and hands the miraculous back, even against hawk moth’s shouting
and when he’s luka again, he doesn’t remember a thing, but the tears linger on his cheeks and he’s not sure why they’re there, but ladybug helps him up with a sort of sad smile and points him where to go (where she’ll meet him as marinette)
and maybe one day she’ll tell him just what happened, but until then, she’s content to know that he truly does love her enough for even his villain side to surrender for her sake
Luka Defends
I noticed something subtle in the exchange Lukanette had with Bob Roth and XY.
Here’s Marinette while Luka speaks up, angrily, about XY stealing Marinette’s designs.
She’s a bit shocked at first, but gets riled up and becomes more angered herself. Now, maybe the initial shock is because she’s never seen Luka agitated before. Or… maybe because she has never heard anyone else be so defensive of HER work before? Maybe because she’s never heard anyone just straight up defend her (and her honor) before? Not that it never happened, but maybe not in front of Marinette????
In contrast, this is Luka as Marinette is defending his music.
Doesn’t glance once at her. He’s just staring XY and Bob down. Honestly, I think the kid is more pissed about Marinette’s art being stolen than he is about his own creative.

(Also, cheers to Marinette, who is equally more pissed about Luka’s song being ripped off than she is about her mask design being swiped)
Luka: *confesses his feelings*
