i had a lot of fun with this, and it kinda tackles, like, several childhood au head cannons at once
- keith starts off looking more like his dad, but as he grows up, more of his mother’s traits show (hair becomes more purple and floofy)
- keith had to drop the bowl cut eventually cause his hair got too wild, now he does what he can to keep it at least a little tame (Lance: “He has legendary bedhead.”)
- meanwhile, lance got his appearance under control (read: got super attractive)
- keith was a soccer kid (but later got into knives?)
- lance can eat whatever he wants and not gain any weight (keith is jealous)
- they officially get together when they’re 17

A good concept. A great concept, even. Perhaps even fantastic.
Klance being playful during a tickle fight, where the covers are tangled around their legs like vines and neither of them can do anything other than breathe and laugh and try to get the upper hand.
That’s when Keith’s arms give out and Lance finally lunges forward to where his boyfriend’s shirt has rucked up in the tussle and blows raspberries onto his tummy, making Keith laugh even harder.
Eventually, it turns softer, more into dedicated kisses than something playful, and Keith’s laughter fades away as he watches Lance leave a trail of love around his belly button and up his ribs. It ends with Lance lifting his head to fix his eyes on Keith’s to give him a gentle smile, right before Keith pulls forward until their lips meet. And Lance can still feel Keith smiling against his mouth.
