I wanted to draw Lance wearing that Marmora suit hoho
So I’ve seen a few people make mention to the fact that in season three, we could possibly get two leaders in Voltron and I honestly think that could be true, based on a few things that I’ve noticed…
In the beginning of the show we saw this
Keith and Lance both saving Shiro in some way has symbolism. Keith was struggling to hold Shiro up by himself (almost like the future weight of leading the group)
And then Lance came in at the perfect time to help him, taking some of the weight off of his shoulders
Here’s another form of symbolism
They’re all lined up and working together to defeat the enemy, this is definitely showing something. But it’s mainly the colours. Is it really a coincidence that Lance and Keith are red and blue while Shiro is purple? Shiro must represent something between them, maybe what they equal together
But other than Shiro, there have been moments dropped around the show that also prove that Lance and Keith make a good team and work well together
Like for example, their bonding moment
(oh look, more purple…interesting….)
Lance literally said “We did it, we are a good team” here
And on a small side note, during some moments with Keith, Lance has been shown to be a good leader, someone that Keith needs around to help him (like with Shiro in ep 1)
This scene here when Keith was ready to run into fight without even a second thought really proves that
Lance stops him and says to think things through (giving a better plan,) which is essential when leading a group
It’s almost like they balance each other out, Keith is impulsive while Lance is decisive, making their team level-headed which is similar to Shiro’s persona (red equals danger, while blue equals calm, making purple which is a combination of both?)
Then there was this elevator scene, which I believe was more than just fan service
They literally did the impossible by getting out of there together, blatantly showing, even though they don’t always get a long
they definitely do make a good team when it counts

This is one of the best moments I’ve seen them work together. There have been others too where they put aside their differences and help one another when it’s important
And recently I’ve heard that now that Shiro’s gone, Lance is going to become more serious and show more of a leadership role, just like Keith will have to as well
And this small scene we got from the trailer shows that. They all look very serious and the stance’s may be this way to make room for everyone in the shot, but there’s just something about Lance and Keith
They both look just like Shiro here and I don’t think that’s a coincidence at all.

Ok galra anon, listen up, I live for this headcanon ok, so here it comes.
Keith hates the way he looks now. He looks like the monsters that imprisoned shiro for a year, the monsters that took allura and coran home from them, the monsters that have been slowly taking over the universe for 10,000 years. Like how can he be ok with that?
And he knows everyone is ok with him looking like this, knows that they don’t hold it against him anymore, because yeah it was a shock at first but they got over it. And he’s grateful for it, he is, but that doesn’t stop him from hating himeself.
So when lance asks him about it and he just unloads and lance listens, it takes awhile for lance to form a response. Cuz yeah he knows what it’s like to hate yourself, knows what it’s like to doubt what your teammates are saying.
So he like listen, “I know what you’re feeling and I know that even me saying this is prolly not going to change the way you re thinking about yourself right now but here’s the thing. You’re still Keith. We still trust you. We still need you and want you to be here. If that weren’t the case, the red lion would have rejected you and she hasn’t so you re still apart of voltron. You can’t help the fact that you’re galra, just like I can’t help that fact that I’m Cuban, or hunks Polynesian, or allura and coran are altean. We cant change that. It’s going to take some time to get used to yourself again, everything has changed for you, and none of us expect that you’re going to take this in stride. Just remember that we’re here for you, and we always will be. Hunks the best hugger I know, so if you need him for a hug just go hug him. Pidge is great for rationalizing stuff out before emotions even come into play. So you can talk problems out with her. Coran is great for stories and distractions. Allura is here for all of us and willing to give everyone advice. So you can always go to her.”
Keith takes it all in, just listening to lance talk and everything and once he’s finished he asks him what does he thinking is good for. Lance responds that he’s here for a good joke and lightening the mood. Keith shakes his head and disagrees. “You keep the whole team grounded. You support every one of us, and you listen when we need someone. And you’re a good hugger too lance. Don’t sell yourself short”
Pretty much they have a bonding moment over their insecurities and thats just shot straight to my heart.

So lance does in fact need his beauty sleep, like if this boy does not get 8hrs he is grumpy af. Idk how this plays into them fighting the galra but, he will get the sleep where he can get it.
He does his facial routine at night and sleeps with a face mask every other night. If you do those too much it can actual hurt your skin and lance does it so he can keep his face moisturized, since there’s like no moisture in space.
And granted that he does get his 8hrs of sleep, lance is pretty chipper in the mornings, greeting everyone and being the little ball of sunshine in the middle of space. Allura and coran are morning people too. So is shiro.
The people who aren’t morning people are hunk, pidge and keith. Pidge and Keith are the freaking worst. Monsters I tell you. I’m pretty sure they lived off caffeine when they were on earth and nevermind their sleep schedules, they’re shot.
But this is about klance so back to them~
So Keith has the hardest time falling asleep. Not that he doesn’t want to sleep, he does but he just cant. Like out in the deseet, you could hear the wind, the freak of the house, what little animals were out there. He could hear it. But in the castle it’s silent. And that just drives him insane. So he wanders and it’s one time when lance is just having a hard time sleeping that he finds Keith wandering and they talk it out. Lance takes sleep seriously so he drags Keith back to his room and forces the boy to sleep. Keith is out like a light and it’s like he just needed some organic noise to put him to sleep, and lance’s breatheling and sleep mumbles do the trick.
And now they have the habit of spending the night together that way they both get the rest they need.
And eventually they done just restrict it to their rooms, it happens in the living room, they collapse on the couch and lean against each other, and boom, they’re gone. (Pidge and hunk take pics for proof of them actually getting along)
Keith also is like selective mute too, so in the mornings he doesn’t talk until he’s had food. Since there’s no coffee in space (yet, hunks working on it) he just doesn’t say anything, just grunts in acknowledgement.
Coran and allura were confused at first because the fact that there are people who don’t like the mornings was foreign to them. Lance and hunk had to explain that’s why pidge and Keith are grumpy. (They still don’t quite get it bit they accept it)
