the voltron fandom doesn’t even freak out the day before the new season drops we’re all just ready for death like

So this is actually one of my favorite Hunk scenes? Because it very nicely establishes two things about Hunk’s character by showing them interplay.

We already know at this point that Hunk is kind of nervous and cautious, and this is exacerbated around Lance who, while not fearless, is pretty brazen about his response to things, which is how Hunk ended up in this situation. But this is also another highlight of just how brilliant Hunk is technically- because, as he’s pointing out, he’s on an alien planet with no equipment, and is casually opening a machine that’s likely not arranged like anything he’s seen before and fishing around in its insides- and he’s not even giving it his full attention.

The other important takeaway from this scene is that Hunk has a really cute nose.
