Treating yourself is rewatching Stormy Weather for:
- really impressive special FX with Stormy Weather’s glowy powers and weather atmosphere

- how refreshing it is that the battle scenes are in a darker and cloudier environment instead of the super bright usual day environment, which really sets the dramatic mood, and also makes everything look really nicely rendered. can you IMAGINE if Catalyst or Mayura had this incredibly dramatic atmosphere:

(LOOK AT LADYBUG’S REFLECTION ON HIS EYES AND HIS BELL! NOW THAT IS REALLY DETAILED RENDERING, HOLY SHIT!)

STORMY WEATHER’S CHARACTER DESIGN AND SASSY MOVEMENTS ARE 👌
👌
👌
👌
👌
👌
👌 they gave her a lot of personality i love it (looks at this 90s anime villain laugh)

- those amazingly animated action scenes where the extremely badass rotate-y camera movement combined with INTERESTING CAMERA ANGLES make the ACTIONS SCENES THAT MUCH WICKED

- that hella juicy cinematography where you can tell the foreground is more focused
during certain shots (pay attention to how the background is more blurred)

- HOW FUCKIN DRAMATIC IT WAS WHEN AURORE GOT AKUMATIZED

- like, most of the time the character just feels sad and doesn’t notice the akuma coming towards them and they just get akumatized. thats it. but HERE, THE LIGHTING CHANGES, WE SEE THE AKUMA SUSPENSEFULLY COME IN THE ELEVATOR AND FLY TOWARDS HER, SHE ACTIVELY TRIES TO BAT IT AWAY. IT’S REAL SPOOKY SHIT. it’s little details like this that make the conflict feel much more dramatic and cooler
- how you are transported back to September 2015 when watching this episode because it’s most likely one of the earliest, if not the first, episodes you’ve watched. You remember how our expectations for the show’s quality is just set that high because of this one episode
