“So, like, what’s the deal with you and Keith?” Pidge asks.
“What do you mean?”
“Lance, it was awkward as fuck when you guys got back. He wouldn’t even look at you and it was so obvious,” she says. “Are you guys back to fighting again?”
It was never like that, and yet, the lie slips out so easily. “Yeah…” The word is slow and low, his expression blank.
“Just like old times, huh?” She elbows Hunk who laughs in agreement, even though he clearly isn’t sold, if the knowing gleam in his eyes is anything to go by.
“Yeah.”
