Fundamentally, the lgbt community exists for two purposes.

1. To protect and organize the people who suffer from homophobia (and it’s extensions) and transphobia (and its extensions).

2. To organize politically to push for legislation that keeps us safer.

There’s no secret 3rd purpose. This isn’t one giant positivity movement to help every weird kid that felt left out in high school. It’s not a big fun party that exists to make people feel ~☆fabulous☆~ or whatever homophobic nonsense you think it is. Sorry.
