Nothing Good Happens After 2 o’clock (Part 2)
I’m sorry it’s been SO long since I last posted this story. Okay @phantomgrace, here is part 2 out of 3!
. . .
Marinette had slept in, so when she finally got to class, the bell had just rung. While she was fixated on getting to her first period on time, Tikki was dozing off inside her purse. She’d only gotten about four hours of sleep last night, after talking with Plagg until after 2 o’clock, she wasn’t able to sleep for another two hours. So this morning was slow for both of them until they finally made it into the classroom.
As Marinette places her bag onto the floor next to her legs, Tikki advances towards the opening of the flab. Plagg’s staring right back at her with a knowing look. He has dark rings under his eyes and Tikki knows she wears the same.
“Sorry.” The tomcat mouths; she was grateful he started their conversation. She wasn’t sure what to say.
“It’s okay.”
“Want to -sleep-?” Giving a sheepish smile, Tikki nods to his slow pronouciation tot he word sleep. She knew he was tired.
“Yes.”
And the two doze off the rest of the day.
10:00 pm
“I don’t understand this…” Her friend mutters. Marinette’s been working on Physics all night and Tikki’s been trying to help out.
“All you need to do is-”
“I’m going to bed! Alya will help me in the morning.” She sluggishly climbs up her latter and collapses onto her bed where she turns off her lights and falls asleep.
Tikki, however, same as last night, was staring up at the sky through the trap door.
11:00 pm
Plagg was so exhausted today, it wasn’t funny. He didn’t get to talk to Tikki. Circling Adrien’s head, the sly cat rests himself atop and watches through the windows once more.
1:30 am
Tikki wasn’t coming over tonight, and he was dying to see her again. Decision made, Plagg carefully removes himself off of Adrien and flies over to Marinette’s.
When he gets there, he peeks through the trap door to see if Tikki was anywhere to be seen. She spots him (Get it??) and smiles. She waves her dainty arms in back and forth motions to gesture the cat to come inside, and he does almost immediately.
Grasping her hand, he pulls her past the latters and underneath Marinette’s bed.
He whispers, “Hey.”
“Hey.” There is a long pause, but the two Kwami’s just continue to hold hands. Finally, taking a deep breath, Tikki breathes, “I’m sorry I didn’t come over sooner. I practically forced you to come-”
“It’s fine! I was going to come here one way or another. Did you get enough sleep during school?” Genuine concern fills his eyes and it takes Tikki a second to focus her thoughts, “U-uh, yes. I did.”
“Good.”
“Is it?”
“Yes it is.”
“-And why is that?” She asks, a flirtatious tone in her question.
“Well,” Plagg starts, pulling a hand to her cheek, “I wouldnt’ be able to come see you tonight with as much energy. I really did want to see you.”
“What! You don’t mean that- why you’re sounding so serious! Are you sure you’ve gotten enough sleep-?”
“Tikki!” The cat shushes, clasping a hand over her mouth. Her face flushes to the contact and Tikki realizes her mistake; she spoke too loud.
“Sorry.” She says under his paw.
He smiles, eyes brightening and ears drooping.
1:50 am
Sitting at the bottom step of Marinette’s latter that lead to her bed, the two Kwami’s continue multiple conversations.
“That much cheese?” Tikki gasps, her antlers twitching with surprise.
“Yes! He was so desperate to see Ladybug. I swear- if Ladybug ever makes a move on Chat Noir, I’ll be eating like a king.”
1:57 am
“You’ve changed.” The ladybug points out, her bushy tail brushes against his. The sensation causes her skin to curl and her breath to deepen.
“How? It’s been about… what, 20-30 years sense i’ve last seen you? We’ve been together for over 5,000 years, Tikki!”
“Exactly! Tell me you feel it, too. That ‘vibe’ that tells you something is different even though it looks the same. Only when you finally look close enough is when you can finally notice the change?” Plagg tilts his head, “No.?”
“Plagg!” She whines. Shoving him off the step, he floats above.
“I’m messing with you! I’m just kidding! Yeah, I know what you’re talking about.”
“You do?” She asks.
“Yes! I got this ‘vibe’ the minute I saw you yesterday in Marinette’s bag! When LadyBug and Chat Noir are fighting off akumas, when i’m at home-”
“Really?”
“Yes! Why don’t you believe me?” Plagg hovers down and wraps his arms underneath hers to pull the Kwami up with him, leaving them in the air hands on shoulders and hands on waist.
“I’ve had this ‘vibe’ for a long time now. Maybe a couple of hundred years…”
“I’ve had it longer.”
“No way-”
“I mean it, Tikki”
1:59 am
“Why are you questioning this?” The tomcat asks.
“I-I’m not…” Tikki rubs his arms, their faces centimeters away and the glow of Plagg’s eyes has the girl in a trance.
“What do you feel when you get this ‘vibe’?” The cat wouldn’t drop it. Tikki sighs, her breath hitting Plagg’s face in pulses and her rubbing his shoulders continuously is causing him to doze off.
“It’s just, I get this feeling as if we’ve -you’ve- matured. It’s weird.” Her face warms up and she an see Plagg’s flush as well.
“I get that same feeling!”
“You do?”
“You look like a matured Kwami every day, even though you physically haven’t changed, it’s the ‘vibe’.”
“I’m starting to dislike that word.”
“Why?”
“It sounds annoying if we keep repeating it.” She mutters, “Vibe, vibe, vibe, vibe, vibe, vibe-”
“Stop!” Plagg laughs, but is discreet of the sleeping girl upstairs.
“Do you se what i mean? Like, listen- vibe, vibe, vibe, vibe, vibe, vibe, vibe-” Before Tikki got the change to finish, Plag lowers his head onto the bug and presses himself into her. Tikki’s taste causes him to grow high in it’s exotic aroma, it’s overwhelming being.
2:00 am
When the black cat kissed her, Tikki didn’t know what to think. At first she thought, “He didn’t let me finish!”, and a second thought was, “Thank you lord.”
Wrapping her arms around his neck, his grasp tightens around her frame; Tikki urges their stare in her touch, her passion.
Pulling away gradually, she’s met with a very flustered, blushing Plagg. He coughs, “You wouldn’t stop saying ‘vibe’…”
This time, Tikki didn’t care if Marinette was asleep upstairs because the Kwami let out a full, broad laugh.
She meant it.
She loves his humor.
Always has.
A few murmurs were let out above and the two fellows scurry to a window near.
“See you tomorrow?” Tikki whispers, trying to ignore the fact that her blush is brighter than her own hue.
“Of course! We are forced to see each other. So, if you suddenly hate me one day, you’re stuck with me!” She shoves him through the window, his figure phasing through the material flawlessly.
“Stop.” She giggles, her face warming up even more so.
“Okay, see you tomorrow.” He mouths and flies off.
Thankfully, Marinette was still alseep.
. . .
Okay! THAT was Part 2 of “Nothing Good Happens After 2 o’clock”!
Yup, so the last part will come out sometime in Febuary.
And to give you all some snips- I’m doing a special Valentines oneshot. :)
*chill, fangirling and die*
So sweeet! It was so beautiful, I really enjoy this part, expecially the kiss ewe
Great job! I’ll wait the next~
Thank you!! ❤️❤️❤️ that means so much to me!! Trust me, the last part is great. And just because I feel like it, I’ll give you a sneak-peek: “It was odd, a strong urge had the cat falling harder into his thoughts. His legs crumble beneath him and Chat Noir leans his body against the wall for support. His feeling were overwhelming him; his body was giving up on him, too. Why did he feel like this??”
Have fun :)
