Plagg+Tikki, 5
Marinette pulls the flab over the top of her bag to close it, keeping Tikki hidden. Not long after, she hears their physics teacher walk in and ask them to take out their homework. Lying on her notebook, the dusky space Tikki sat in was the same: extra pencils, paper, and Marinette’s notebook. Not the school notebook, her sketch notebook where she puts her drawings of new clothing designs. She’d normally flip through them every now and then, trying to pass time.
Tikki hears a cry, causing her antlers to twitch and she floats up to an opening; it let light into the bag. She peeks at the scene to see a frustrated Chloe. Ahh, the girl who seems to always get the students- anyone akumatized… This teen was, how should she put it, special.
Tikki inhales and is about to head back to Marinette’s notebook when she spots a black figure poking out of Adrien’s bag. Eyes wide, the creature notices Tikki and mocks her expression.
Another Kwami.
It was a black cat, obviously Chat Noir’s.
“Who are you?” Tikki mouths, captuing the familiar cat’s attention. Her question seemed to hold a lingering tease, but she knew he wouldn’t tell. No sound came out from her mouth.
“Plagg.” He mouths back, a smirk crossing his face, “You?”
“Tikki.” She peers up at Adrien, then Marinette and feels her cheeks warm up. “is Adrien Chat Noir?” Tikki asks, words inaudible.
“Is Marinette Ladybug?” Plagg tilts his head, his thin whiskers folding to the crease of his companion’s bag.
“Yes.”
“Yes as well. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen you.” Plagg’s cheeks flush as his smile turns sly.
“Not too long, though.” The teacher starts to walk up the aisle and the two Kwami’s duck their heads into the bags. The woman’s heels would make a shark clicking noise each step she took until the teacher was finally back to her desk. Popping her head back up to talk to Plagg, she knew he had done the same. Tikki couldn’t help but feel her face heat up as he stared at her with his iridescent, green eyes; the same that have been looking into hers for over 5,000 years. Each time they reunited it seemed as if they’d grown more intimidating. As if his eyes held more stories.
“How is it?” He words and Tikki snaps back into reality.
“Wonderful.” She couldn’t go into detail because Plagg wouldn’t understand what she was saying, since they can’t really talk. Tikki sighs, “You?”
“Interesting.”
The class is dismissed and the two Kwami’s shove themselves into the bags. They wouldn’t see each other until later.
10:00 pm
While Marinette sits in her bed sketching her last designs, Tikki flats above, looking outside her trapdoor and into the starry night. She couldn’t get Plagg out of her mind. No doubt she missed the cat, but something about him felt different.
“Good night, Tikki.” Marinette yawns, placing her notebook aside and turns off the lights (I have no clue whether or not she even has lights up there…).Tikki would’ve normally gone down and fallen asleep next to the girl, but when she lands on her pink pillow she wasn’t able to close her eyes for the life of her.
11:00 pm
He was still awake. Plagg was lying at the end of Adrien’s bed, looking outside his windows wonder if a certain Kwami was doing the same as him.
12:00 am
She was unfazed, pumped. Tikki could feel an energy deluge inside her and this feeling kept her awake. Her eyes weren’t strained and she didn’t feel the slightest bit tired. Arms folded across her dainty chest, Tikki continues to watch the sky light shine through the trap door overhead.
1:30 am
She’d had enough. She couldn’t take it. If she had to stay up all night, she’d prefer to spend it with Plagg. Tikki flies up to the ceiling, phases through, and heads for Adrien’s house.
Plagg notices something red shoot by and nearly jumps out of his skin, green sparks lit in pleasure. He floats up and greets Tikki after watching her fly through the window as if it weren’t there. As she makes it into Adrien’s room, she goes straight to Plagg and gives him a hug, wrapping her arms around his narrow shoulders. Their cheeks rub against each other and the embrace is overwhelming. Squeezing her frame tightly, Plagg caresses her back in lust.
“We should get away from the windows.” Tikki murmurs. He pulls away from her, takes her hand and leads the Kwami up to the railing for Adrien’s personal library. As they sit down on the cool metal, Tikki sighs in pleasure, “How is he?”
“Who?”
“Adrien- how is he as Chat Noir?” They both look down at the sleeping boy; legs sprawled out and arms over his head.
“He’s very… Interesting. He caves into giving me cheese everyday, but compared to the other Chat Noirs, he is pretty angelic.” Turning her head to look at the cat, she asks, “Angelic?”
“Yes. He goes througha lot in his life, but Adrien in strong.”
“What is he going through?” She asks once more, concern piercing her body.
“Life- but mainly dad issues.” Plagg slouches his shoulders to his last comment.
“Got it.”
“What about Marinette?” Plagg asks, causing Tikki to muffle a giggle.
“She’s amazing. She’s girly but confident. She’s outgoing yet keeps to herself. But, I can assure you, I have the most fun when Marinette falls head over heals for Adrien.”
“Marinette likes Adrien?” Eyes wide and jaw hanging, Plagg adds, “That’s hilarious. it’s a love square! Chat Noir loves Ladybug!”
“Loves?” Tikki giggles again and places her dainty hand onto his ebony one, and gives Plagg a warm smile, “I always thought that.”
“It’s all him though. Nothing from me!”
“Is that so?” Leaning in toward the Kwami, Plagg gives a sly smile and admires his addle partner, “Yes. I haven’t seen you around- not until earlier today to be honest.” Tikki’s face flushes.
“Me neither.”
1:45 am
“Yet, I can’t help but feel as if I’m meeting you for the first time-”
“-all over again.” Tikki finishes. Even if she’s red, her blush was undeniably noticeable. They just sit there, staring into each other’s eyes for what seems like an eternity.
1:50 am
Plagg blinks. Tikki blinks twice. He observes her eyes. He can feel himself being pulled into its gravity, its color causes him to drift in its seas and Plagg’s sight blurs.
1:57 am
She missed this. Being with Plagg used to be a pain in the beginning, but over the centuries she’s grown on him and everything seemed as if it were a dream. Looking at him now, his whiskers, his tail, his broad ears, she missed everything about this Kwami.
2:01 am
Nose to nose, they hear a moan and flinch away, skin fizzling with dismay as Plagg and Tikki look down at Adrien. When he runs a hand over his face and turns towards the other side of the bed, Tikki gives a soft giggle.
“I need to head back to Marinette…”
“Yeah. Adrien is probably missing me down there.” Still holding her hand, Plagg squeezes it with a knowing grip.
“See you tomorrow?” She asks.
“Of course!”
“I could bring cheese.”
“What type?”
“Your type.” She laughs for the last time, releasing their grip and hovering over the cat. “Bye, Plagg.”
“Bye, Tikki.” And without turning around, the red beauty flew back to her companion’s house.
(Part 2 will be coming soon! TBH, maybe two/three days… I HOPE you enjoyed this @phantomgrace!)
