A Dare Too Far
A short Kim+Alix oneshot
“C’mon, it’s a dare, Alix” Nino complains along with Alya. Frustration overwhelms Alix as the two teens bombard her.
“No.” She huffs, crossing her arms to her chest and facing her back to them. “It’s stupid.”
“You’ve never backed out on a dare before!” Alya states frankly. Feeling her skin hitch, Alix grunts and shakers her head, “I said no.”
“Please!”
“No.”
“You’re reputation though!” Alya presses; this girl was bugging her.
“No.”
“Why not?” Nino cries while taking off his cap.
“Because-”Because… Why was she backing out of this? It was just a dare… But it was Kim, and this dare is so ridiculous that it could ruin the friendship they had. She loved making dares, it was exhilarating. Hating her self, Alix finally sighs, “Alright. But if I break Kim, it’s you guys to blame.”
Nino and Alya’s eyes widen and they both jump in place, “Yes! Okay, let me text him.” The brunette cheers with a sly grin on her face.
“You two aren’t going to be here.”
“We are going to stay behind a tree.” Nino responds. Alya gasps, “He said he will be here in about five.” She gives a thumbs-up, “Good luck.”
“Okay.” Her voice was calm, but inside Alix was starting to panic. She cared- she hoped that this dare wouldn’t ruin her life. Ruin her school life and her personal life.
As time passes, five minutes turn into ten and a tall, broad Kim is seen walking up to Alix.Making his way up to the girl, he smiles and rubs his nape.
“What’s up?”
Regretting this decision, she gives a cocky smirk and points up, “The sky.”
Kim laughs, “No ‘dib.” He lowers his hands down and gives a confused expression, “Where’s Alya?”
Face growing warm, Alix tries her best not to let blush engulf her cheeks. Why was she blushing? Yes, it’s embarrassing, but that’s no need to turn into a tomato.
“U-Uh, actually, wise-guy, it’s just me.”
“Okay…” Alix notices the way he awkwardly keeps his hands in his jean pockets, and the way his neck is leant forward. He’s uncomfortable.
Damn itttttttttt….
“E-Eh, I gotta say something.” She spats out, forcing herself to get the stupid words to from on her lips and into the air between them. “I dont expect you to do anything.”
“Got it.” Kim nods. He’s acting so calm; does he suspect it’s a dare? Kim was just uncomfortable two seconds ago… Has he always been so engrossed? With me?
“I uh…” Alix could feel four particular eyes on her right now, waiting for her to complete the dare. Pulling up her mental panties she stammers, “I like you.”
Small cheers were made, but she doubted anyone could hear them for they were barely audible. Looking up at Kim, she couldn’t read him. He didn’t seem amused or surprised. He didn’t look disgusted or distressed. He looked…
Hastily, Kim grasps Alix’s cheeks and leans in to close the distance between their lips. A silent squeak is made of Alix, but she almost immediately places her hands onto his broad chest and presses further.
She doesn’t care if Nino and Alya are freaking out in the background, she doesn’t care if people that are passing by see them. Alix couldn’t explain this feeling, but she just didn’t give a damn.
He kisses her lastly, gingerly parting their lips and breathing her in. Opening her eyes, Alix can see a red hue spread across his face; no doubt her face is twice as bad.
Kim gives an airy chuckle, “That was a dare.”
Her arms drop along with her thoughts.
“Me too.”
Backing away from one another, the two teens stare at each other, not knowing what to do.
“I-um,” He coughs and begins to rub the back of his neck again, “I think I should head back…”
“Alright.” Alright was all Alix could manage. She was feeling complicated, confused. Alix wasn’t able to comprehend the situation and never saw Kim start to walk away with his head arched, hands in pockets, and crossing the street. Alix didn’t understand why she felt as if thousands of pounds were placed on her shoulders when Kim had said, “it was a dare”. Did she care?
Of course not…
Right?
Great, now she was being indecisive.
Mentally slapping herself, Alix jerked herself toward the two idiots who started this mess. She knew something bad would happen.
They were both sheepishly smiling, as if they knew something she didn’t.
Truth was, she did know what it was.
Alix wasn’t sure she was ready to accept it.
(Okay! That’s just something short and sweet! I really do think these two dorks are meant for each other. I’m all for it :D I’m most definitely going to be writing more oneshots.)
