people out here really thinking that every badass woman is bisexual

3 out of the 4 are canon bisexuals. the wasp is the only one that’s fanon and she has this working towards her in favour of being bi…

canadian actresses can’t play straight characters it’s a scientific fact sorry

theblondeprerogative

Of course they’re bi. Their male writers wanted an excuse to draw girl-on-girl action AND have them flirt with any male they needed them to. 🙄

wonder woman was created by william marston, a man who was in a commited polyamorous relationship with his wife, elizabeth, and their partner, olive. he had experienced the love that the two bisexual women in his life had towards himself and eachother. he wanted wonder woman to share this quality, but unfortunately because it was the 1940s he couldn’t even show “girl-on-girl action” let alone a healthy loving relationship between two women.

harley quinn’s bisexuality was confirmed with a kiss between her and poison ivy in the series ‘bombshells’ (2015-2017) which was created by marguerite bennett, who is a queer woman, then was later confirmed via twitter by amanda conner, the artist and co-writer of harley’s (2013-2016) solo series, yet another not-man, that harley and poison ivy were indeed girlfriends.

valkyrie’s bisexuality was revealed in ‘fearless defenders’ by cullen bunn. they definitely took full advantage of drawing valkyrie with an unnamed character that had nothing to do with the plot just to put them into a hot sexy lezzy situation, see…

image

oh wait, nevermind. that’s her with annabelle riggs, a developed character in the series, and that was her and valkyrie’s only physically romantic interaction before riggs sacrifices herself to save the team.

also, in the mcu, tessa thompson who is a queer woman, pushed to show valkyrie’s bisexuality in ‘thor: ragnarok’ but was shut down by the straight men at the studios.

…it’s almost like most women-loving-women representation is actually spearheaded by women and/or queer individuals, and even when it’s not, it’s still not always sexualised. don’t belittle bi female representation on false claims of sexism.

This is actually heartbreaking when you remember Lilo tells Stitch her parents went for a drive, and the bad weather caused them to crash.

I get the feeling the adults knew…

jellypumpkin

and now I’m wondering how in the hell Lilo came to the conclusion that there’s a peanut butter loving fish god who demands tribute or else he’ll murder your family.

notyourexrotic

When massive trauma hits, some people try to find any way to make sense of what seems senseless. Find any semblance of control, of responsibility.

Lilo may be blaming herself (unfairly) for her parents’ death. This was the only connection she could make, the only thing she could have had any control over, so to her it must have been her fault. If only she was a good girl. If only she did the right thing. Then maybe…

It’s very very hard to lose a mindset like that even when it’s the most irrational thing, even when it hurts you, because then you’re left with nothing.

bigmouthlass

And when you’re six your pattern recognition skills are a work in progress. Lilo sees that type of fish one day and as it swims away it starts to rain; connection made.

This movie had some of the best scenes cut out of it.

just-an-anxious-mess

This is one of my favourite movies yet somehow I never saw this deleted scene…. Excuse me a second…
