You like Felix more than Adrien? Can you explain why?

Ahhh

I think its mostly because I just relate to Felix and appreciate his character more.

It’s kind of nice to see a character who gets given some kind of power/responsibility and immediately tries to get out of it, which is honestly really rational and something that doesn’t happen that often.

I can’t remember the last time I saw a character’s actions and thought “that is what I would do in this situation.”

Felix was chosen to be Chat and to risk his life every other day with no choice in the matter, and he finds out the only way to get out  of his bad luck is to kiss ladybug, so he tries hard to do so.

Trying to woo her was a really bad way to go about it, and just talking about it would have been a better and more progressive choice. // But in my opinion that gives him some room for improvement/character development through fan work and ideas.

If Felix was a straight-up terrible person who abused those around him I wouldn’t be backing him like this, but all he’s done is coldly reject Bridgette’s affections, the girl who was blatantly stalking him and would not take no for an answer.

I got an ask a while ago that tried comparing Felix to Fakir from princess tutu and I think I understand why I can like one and not the other despite them being similar archetypes now.

Fakir was over the top and abusive in the beginning for reasons I couldn’t really fully believe/get invested in, and he never apologized for his actions despite having come to terms with them later on and becoming a better person.

Meanwhile Felix is very dismissive, cold and rude, but with understandable motives and behavior, and not to mention an extremely open future because he pretty much belongs solely to fans now.

This is all pretty personal and biased so I understand if you don’t agree with me. I mostly just took this as a chance to write down how I felt.
