Testing a new sketchbook that wasn’t very good haha;;;. I wish the paper was better on moleskine art-plus sketchbooks. there’s a weird wax on the edges….

PS. I used a toothbrush to flick on the white paint for the stars.

Tools: Windsor & Newton gouache, Talens Japan watercolour. i’m not gonna put the sketchbook cause i definitely do NOT recommend it lol.

Yeah, you’re right! I’m not a texture expert so I can’t properly talk about the quality of the thing but Yeash, I totally agree!

Until you don’t start to study 3D animation.

Because I mean… F**k, guys… 3D animation is incredibly HARD. It’s really really HARD. And they did a very great job on this show, it’s incredible. Action scenes are so HARD to be wrote, thought, animated.

This evening I had to animate a damned bouncing ball. A very simple thing, you know? Yeah, not the standard one, but a little bit more customized and complicated version, ok. But… Ohgod, I had something like 25-30 Open GL freezes in just three hours.

Can you imagine to work to a long action scene like those you can see into the show and have suddently a crash of the system? Ohmygoash, I can imagine the PAIN, THE SUFFERING, THE EVERYTHING.

So… Don’t be sad, or angry or disappointed by the animation errors nor the lack of models or backgrounds, because it’s really really REALLY HARD to work to these clips.
If someone ever come to me and say that 3D animation is more simple than the 2D one… I can just hysterically laugh at their face and launch my pc, because…
