So if you pay attention carefully, you will see in this episode, Chat Noir tried not to fight back to Papa Garou (Weredad), instead he tried to convince Tom and got hurt badly. He knew he hurt Marinette and her father got akumatized because of that. Papa Garou almost took his Miraculous and Hawk Moth almost won.

But still, in the end, everything back to normal, and even though he was exhausted, Chat Noir used his Cataclysm to help Ladybug and then collapsed onto her shoulder.

He trusted her so much that he knew she would catch him if he fall.

Ladybug and Chat Noir secret identities

Ok so there is a lot of frustration around the fact that LadyBug and Chat Noir haven’t realized each others identities yet. Some have theories that the miraculous have special abilities to disguise the wearer other than the mask and suit( like voices and stuff). BUT they have spoken without their miraculous on before most recently in the finally of #Season two #Hero’s Day

We see them communicating w/o their costumes which means those theories aren’t true. So I have come up with one.

Marinette thinks Chat and Adrien just have similar voices.

I know basic duh.

But hear me out

Point 1: Voices can be hard to identify.

At my school I there are this group of three guys that I kid u not all have the exact.same.voice. It’s freaky. The only thing that varies is the pitch kinda. One have a slightly lower, the other a slightly higher, and finally in between. The one in between can sound like both of the boys depending on if he talks low or high. And the other boys can both sound like the middle. So basically if you were turned around and the middle one was speaking you had no idea who was talking. It’s wild. I talk to one of them daily for hours it’s my job.And i can only distinguish between him and the lower one.

Point two: Voices change depending on emotion

Some voices change depending on emotion kind of. Like how when a teacher gets upset their voice can get more stern and hard. Or how sometimes people’s voices get higher when they lie,are nervous, or get scared. Or some people just drop their voices when they get tired. It’s weird.

Marinette usually has a higher, bubbly voice She’s usually happy or neutral so like that’s normal. But when she’s LB her voice is lower. She’s more serious. It’s stern not bubbly. Sure she’ll make a couple jokes or comment and THATS when she sounds more like herself. But when she’s battling she doesn’t have time. Probably tired- time crunch.
Adrien’s normal voice is proper kind of like one tone? (I don’t music or anything) but like it doesn’t have much change in rhythm or pitch. It’s very standard only really changes when talking to friends. But when he’s Chat it’s different. His style is more relaxed. He makes jokes and has more changes in general (even emotions like when he got scared in Reverser or hated LB in Dark Cupid).

So…. taking it from Marinette’s perspective it’s very likely she thinks they are just two completely different people with kinda similar voices and vice versa. Even though she works with him and sees him at school. They still have differences.
