Consider this: Hawkmoth uses an unconcious Adrien as bait and manages to get Ladybug’s miraculous after a long and difficult battle. Hawkmoth has learned most of her weaknesses after so many battles against each other, one weakness in particular: Adrien. Ladybug surrenders her miraculous after Hawkmoth threatens Adrien’s life. Then when sleeping beauty awakens and sees what has happened while he was out, Adrien flips his shit. All hell breaks loose, culminating in Chat Noir losing his miraculous after Hawkmoth de-transforms to reveal Gabriel Agreste. Chat being too shell shocked to even think properly, didn’t even manage to fight back when his dear old dad takes his ring. Game Over.
