Why isn’t anyone talking about how strong Dipper got this summer, SO MUCH that he managed to break down a door?

And to think he started like this:

Oh man not only did Dipper manage to break down the door there, he did it while he was still bruised, beaten, exhausted, and probably concussed from the apocalypse. He’s gotten so much stronger over the course of the summer, and I think it’s really neat how the writers have subtly shown that growth happening throughout different episodes

like in Gideon Rises when Dipper beats up Gideon.

Or during Into The Bunker when Dipper swings an axe hard enough to do some serious damage to the Shapeshifter.

Or in Dipper and Mabel vs. The Future when Dipper hangs on to an extremely fast moving alien droid with one arm, disables it, survives the crash and is immediately on his feet again dragging Ford’s unconscious body out of the droid.

Or in Weirdmageddon Part 1 when Dipper survives a really bad car crash that renders Wendy, one of the toughest characters on the show, unconscious and once more immediately forces himself to get moving again despite the obvious pain he’s in.

I thought it was pretty neat how Weirdmageddon also showed off how emotionally strong Dipper is as well. He tries to punch Bill in the eye even after Bill tries to emotionally torment Dipper by bringing up past trauma from Sock Opera. Dipper survives the apocalypse and its horrors on his own convinced his loved ones could all be dead with his sanity still in tact for 3 days. He encourages both Gideon and Mabel to fight back even when they’re incredibly afraid. He and Mabel inspire the survivors in the Mystery Shack to fight against Bill even when it seems impossible.

Ironically, its even Dipper that ultimately has to call out Stan, the man that’s been pushing Dipper to fight back all summer, to stop hiding out in the Shack like a coward and fight back against Bill with the others.

But between fighting monsters and other bad guys with his sister and Stan forcing Dipper to do all the hard manual labor chores around the Shack, it’s no wonder Dipper’s gotten stronger and tougher over the summer! And to his immense pleasure I’m sure! As Dipper vs. Manliness and Dipper’s pride at finally managing to chop wood in Dreamscapers show, being physically stronger is something Dipper genuinely wants. He wants to be a strong, brave, adventure-seeking hero the likes of Indiana Jones when he’s older, and I have no doubts that he will be. He’s well on his way already.

I’m really proud of Dipper.

so ive seen like 2592 posts about volpina but not too many on THIS SHOT and i think it’s probably one of the more important parts of the episode so if nobodys gonna talk about it im gonna here we go

Even if the mothlair isn’t behind catmom’s portrait, stuff concerning Miraculous’ is. He’s got it padlocked. This doesn’t get us any closer to being certain he is a miraculous holder, but based on what we see here, we’re getting way closer to assuming his wife was.
Stuff’s up in Tibet? A book? A ticket? A hotel brochure? Why did Gabriel keep that stuff, or who’s is it? Tibet is in southeast China. It’s the world’s highest region &. is historically known for being a key location in the development of Buddhism. Is this where Fu’s from? The miraculous’? With that “an ancient Chinese secret, just like yours”? Maybe Mom Agreste had ties with southeast Asia, which is why Adrien ~*coincidentally*~ began learning Chinese.
The Peacock Miraculous is vigil. Origin spoilers, but we know that when a Miraculous holder removes their miraculous, the kwami disappears – but based upon the accidental removal of Chat’s ring in Lady Wifi, we can guess that it’s not just a physical removal, but a mental one. The chosen has to not want to be a superhero anymore. If the Peacock Miraculous’ chosen still wanted to be a holder, the kwami would still be there – but it isn’t. Does this mean Catmom Agreste was the Peacock Miraculous? Did she remove her miraculous for good and run away? What prompted her to do so?
This is a bit of a sidenote, but it seems like it’s Fu’s responsibility to hand out miraculous’. That being said, he knew at least one of Adrien’s parents have possession of at least one of the other two missing stones(Peacock & Papillon) when he gave Adrien the ring. i guess that’s just sort of interesting, esp if we’re assuming his “one mistake” was giving Gabriel Nooroo. (or was it giving Catmom the Peacock?)
That book is a big deal, and it’s Gabriel’s. Tikki acted like it was insanely important, so much so that she risked being seen in an attempt to get it back, and legit encouraged Marinette to steal it, which she normally isn’t really all about. It’s definitely the same book in the opening of origins, meaning it contains information about the Miraculous’ lore, and that part about how to combine Ladybug and Chat Noir’s to achieve ultimate power. Tikki says it’s dangerous in the wrong hands. But how did Gabriel Agreste, an apparently no-miraculous-user get it?
Plagg drops the subject as soon realizes what the book is. He seems like he puts some dots together &. he immediately tries to distract Adrien from the whole thing, especially when Adrien gets to the part about Papillon. cheez cat knos smth
Therefore, Gabriel is definitely knowledgeable about Miraculous’. He might know more about the lore and history than either Adrien or Marinette do. Whether this means he’s a holder himself is still sort of up in the air, but he knows stuff our mains don’t. This probably means that he knows very well what Chat Noir’s ring looks like, making it more possible now than ever that he’s extremely aware Adrien is Chat Noir.
“His rage will be worse than Papillon’s” is more like … terrifying foreshadowing son u need to RU N. What WILL Gabriel do? If it’s so important that he’s got it hidden and locked up, what’s he gonna do when he finds out it’s missing? Assuming Gabriel Agreste is Hawkmoth, what sort of strings is he going to pull to get it back? If he’s beginning to suspect his son is Chat Noir, what will he do to Adrien when he finds out somebody knows about his affiliation with Miraculous’ and has been through his stuff? Will the hunt for LB & CN’s Miraculous’ turn into that plus a hunt for his missing book? Will he try recruiting new villains? More permanent ones? How about that “you haven’t seen the last of Volpina” thing ..?

BASICALLY. volpina was cool and stuff, but if we want hints to what season 2′s gonna look like, it’s here. Gabriel is very knowledgeable on Miraculous’, and it makes him powerful whether he’s Papillon or not. Tibet is a key location. The Agreste’s have history with the Peacock Miraculous, but it’s owner, who appears to have been Catmom, ditched it, and we’ve gotta figure out why. Papillon will be pissed when he finds out the book is missing. Volpina might be a bigger villain than this season 1 ep let on. Adrien might be in trouble, his position gets more and more complicated as it goes on. Papillon’s planning something he’s dubbing a “Big Day” which super villain speaking is probably not great. season 2 is gonna be,, heavier.
