pinetreepreserve asked:

One of Dipper’s inventions backfires and injures him (after Paz told him it was too dangerous to use) and she has to fix him up.

“Aren’t you going to say ‘I told you so?’” Dipper finally spoke up as Pacifica wipes away some soot from his hair.

“You don’t usually say it to me, so it doesn’t seem fair.” She replied simply. Dipper though dating a fellow inventor was nice at times. He could get a better opinion, brain-storm with her, and it felt more satisfying when she saw something go right. But extremely embarrassing when she saw it go wrong. And she saw a lot go wrong.

“Whenever I say something of yours won’t work, it always does.” Dipper huffed. He couldn’t help but be jealous, Pacifica was a natural engineer. Ford may have looked on Dipper’s research skills with pride, but he saved all his thrilling invention talk for Pacifica Northwest.

“Don’t be jealous.” She said, reading his mind. Another thing she was good at. But she was right, a relationship shouldn’t carry any resentment. “You’ll make something that will knock me out of the water one day.”

“Have I ever told you how fun it is to date my rival?” Dipper cocked his head.

“Yes, but you should more often.” Pacifica quickly pecked him on the lips. “And now for the bandage…”

Dipper lifted his hair for her final first aid step. “I think I’m gonna try again.”

“It won’t work.”

“With a minor adjustment, it should be perfect!” He said, running out of the room early.

Pacifica sighed and followed him, holding the first aid kit still.
