Connecticut diner under fire for racist Harriet Tubman tweets

On Wednesday, after the news that Harriet Tubman would replace Andrew Jackson on the $20, the apparent twitter account for Penny’s Diner in Norwalk, CT, tweeted the above racist statements. As the tweets spread, people expressed their outrage on Yelp and Twitter. But the diner says they’re innocent and has an explanation why.
