So far in the first season, there have been several hints that each Miraculous holder has inherited some sort of trait by their kwami’s nature.

For example:

1) Master Fu’s age and wisdom.

A typical pet turtle’s lifespan can range from 10-80 years while sea turtles have an average lifespan of 150 years. In pop culture, turtles are seen as wise, slow-moving creatures that are often burdened by the weight of the world. Hence being the protector of the Miraculous.

2) Chat Noir’s cat-like behavior:

Since the very first episode, Chat Noir has shown many animal-like characteristics ranging from night vision to reacting to certain smells and sounds. We even see him running on all fours in several scenes; however, with his black suit also comes the popular reference of bad luck. The poor cat is usually on the receiving end of hits and is more likely to be thwarted by the enemy while his companion is working on a plan.

As Adrien, his tendencies tend to disappear, but it has yet to be shown if these abilities are fully diluted outside the suit.

3) Ladybug’s Charm

Unlike the other kwami’s nature, the only known trait Ladybug has shown is her pop culture reference of offering good luck. With a move called Lucky Charm, she stops the Akuma and then uses the same object to fix all that had been broken/damaged by her enemy. (There is also the black and white vision we see during this time; however, whether or not her vision is always like this as Ladybug has yet to be proven).

As Marinette, any and all characteristics of her alter-ego nearly disappear entirely as shown by her clumsy nature and frequent bad luck. Instead; nonetheless, she does inherit the confidence she receives from becoming Ladybug and strives to make her own luck in her normal life.

This leaves our last known person:

Gabriel Agreste.

Butterflies are considered both good and bad omens in mythology and folklore. In Japan, they are thought to be the personification of a person’s soul or mind whether they be living, dying, or already dead. In the series, Le Papillon/Hawk Moth uses a person’s negative emotions to turn them into villains in order to lure out Ladybug and Chat Noir.

Now what could Gabriel possibly inherit from his kwami?

I believe, like Master Fu and unlike Ladybug and Chat Noir, Gabriel is gaining an element of the kwami’s power outside of his transformation. In this case: he can feel other’s emotions.Whether they are positive or negative, Gabriel can sense how everyone is feeling around him, giving him the advantage to play with their mentality.

Which means he can sense every emotion Adrien feels.

It’s the reason why he let him attend school; to stop the sadness. Why he gives him more freedom to go to events and hang out with friends; to feel the joy.

Yes but guys, Origins MUST to be watched last. If you watch it before the rest of the series… It’s not emotional at the same Level.
You don’t know Marinette and Adrien that much to be emotionally invested.

“Cute As a Bug”

Inspired by this comic post by @i-wadako

Recently I discovered this cute short comic strip where Adrien, being the total Ladybug-obsessed weeb that he is, dresses up poor Plagg in a red, polka-dotted dress, much to the chagrin of the Black Cat kwami. The concept came as a request from another miraculer to the artist who then illustrated it. Either way, I found this comic art not only amusing but incredibly cute and I tip my hat off not only to the genius miraculer who came up with the funny idea but also the cool artist that brought it to life. Bless you both for the idea of Plagg in a dress.

I liked the idea of dressing Plagg in a cute Ladybug-style dress so much that it inspired me to do my own spin on it. Remember that ♥ MEOWPlakki squigglustration I did a few weeks back where I drew Plagg,  reacting, in typical male nose-bleeding over a pretty female looking cute anime fashion, to Tikki slaying everything in an adorable black cat kitty costume?

Well as a lovely companion piece to that artwork, I drew Tikki this time reacting (again in traditional anime girl fashion fangasming over her boy crush in a dress–I’ve read too many shoujo manga in my lifetime with this kind of scene) to beautified and bedazzled Plagg; glittery make-up and all, killing it in Ladybug-themed dress of my design .

And just for more kicks, I also tossed kwami newcomers—Wayzz and Noroo into the mix since I promised myself that I would squiggle these two at least once in my style; even if it is rather cartoony. Pfft. LOL.

To discuss the piece, I wanted to depict each of the canon kwamis reacting differently to cutie bug Plagg, and I knew immediately what kind of reactions I wanted them to have. I wanted Tikki to be react with nothing but love; completely heart eyes and mesmerized by how beautiful her kwami bestie looks in a dress and just fall head over heels in love with the look. After all, you gotta admit, Plagg does look hella pretty.

I wanted Wayzz to be completely amused at seeing the Kwami of Bad Luck in feminine attire to the point of wanting to burst out in fits of scandalous laughter. But my head canon is that Wayzz is the type to not really laugh at those he considers his closest comrades.

So even if he wants to just piss himself guffawing at Plagg, being the old fart wise and considerably nice turtle that he is, he’ll more try to compose himself. So instead of laughing, he’d just stand there struggling so hard to suppress his turtle chortles.

As for Noroo; well Noroo I decided to have fun with. I wanted one of the characters to just be shocked STUPID by Plagg in a dress and there’s no one better to show that than Noroo.
Cause in my head, I’d imagine that after being in Hawkmoth’s company for so long, Noroo has developed an immunity to everything out of the ordinary.

Since he’s assisted his master in the creation of countless akumatized villains of different shapes, sizes, genders, colour schemes and of course powers; from a giant juggernaut rock creature to a slimy horrific monster; from a winged messenger of hate and heartbreak to Tron Junior and his giant mechanized X-Box 360; to a human 4G wireless connection to even a walking, talking bubble toy; Noroo probably has seen practically everything under the sun so for the most part, nothing really phases him anymore.

Nothing except  the sheer sight of one of his fellow kwami brothers in a bloody dress. This alone is enough to just leave the poor butterfly kwami more than just shocked; but profoundly stupefied. Whether Noroo shamelessly loves Plagg in a dress like Tikki, finds it funny like Wayzz or is more horrified by it than anything else,  I’d leave that up to you guys to interpret.

For now, to put it plainly:
Plagg, Noroo is just so 100% done with you and that darn dress. As a matter of fact, he’s more than just done. He’s gone. Bye, bye petit papillion.

I hope you all my fellow miraculers and PLAKKI cheesecake fans can get a good laugh out of this piece. I really liked drawing Plagg in a dress. Maybe I should draw all the kwamis, in dresses XD Enjoy the new squiggle art and please, please reblog it around.
Reblog and if you can, leave a comment as well of what you think. All of the above would make this squiggle meister very happy ♥♥♥
