We finally have some answers as to why Mercury’s eye’s are described as gray and not silver.
Way back in volume 1, Pyrrha described aura and semblances as extensions of one’s soul. Mercury’s semblance was taken away by his father.
Eyes are the windows to the soul
Mercury’s eyes are colorless because he is missing a crucial piece of his soul. When you describe it like that, it makes what Mercury’s father did to him that much crueler. Also makes you wonder just what color Mercury’s eyes used to be.
I’m just glad to finally get this whole thing sorted out because to a lot of people this seemed like an inconsistency that had bothered people since volume 3 but now we know that there is an in-universe explanation for it.
