I’m honestly an newbeginner and still an amateur when it comes to webcomics but what I did was to search around google on “how to make a webcomic”. They usually tell you the basics which is pretty neat to learn.

In my case I usually write a short summary of each of my chapters and give the main character a goal. Giving them a goal for each chapter will make it pretty pretty easy for you to plan your comic as well as plan the pace and the layout. I usually sketch roughly before drawing it digitally like vv

of course, my examples and way of making is pretty roughly. It’s probably best to make a small “practice comic” before you plan to begin on something huge (like me with Nicky, besides I’m stuck with no idea as of how to end this comic. Don’t be like me, plan the “practice comic’s” end ahead ahah;;)
