“Adrien….it’s very good to see you again,” Gabriel said feeling slight uncomfortable. The orange jumpsuit was bright and vibrant, making the designer feel out of place with Adrien’s normal looking appearance.
Adrien sighed, he hadn’t wanted to visit his father ever since he had went to prision but Marinette was adamant on getting him to talk to his father along the lines of “you need to try and be a family again!” and he could never say no her.
He rubbed the cold metal of his ring and felt Plagg nuzzling up to him in his jacket in an attempt to comfort the blond boy.
He smiled, albeit it was slightly fake. “Yes, it’s been awhile hasn’t it?”
“What changed your mind?”
“Marinette convinced me I should visit,” Adrien replied, beaming slightly at the thought of the love of his life.
Gabriel nodded but felt a little upset that his son didn’t want to visit on his accord but instead had to be convinced by his partner.
“She’s a remarkable women. You picked a good one. You two just had your honeymoon, right?”
“Yes. England was great. She had a wonderful time.”
“That’s nice,”
Adrien looked down. “It’s a little early but we just found out that she’s expecting a child in nine months.”
His father’s eye widened and a small grin etched his face, despite the miserable circumstances. “I- that’s wonderful son.”
Adrien looked back up at Gabriel nodded, a soft grin on his face.
Gabriel sighed. “I’m sorry I wasn’t there for the wedding.”
Adrien snorted. “It’s not like I would’ve invited you anyway but thanks.”
Gabriel grimaced. During his time in the facility, he had a lot of time to reflect and realized he had been a neglectful father to his son and was controlling as well. His own actions drove his son to distance himself and deal with things on his own, relying heavily on Marinette’s parents who had become his real family, providing the love and affection Adrien always asked for from Gabriel during his childhood.
“Adrien, I’m truly sorry about everything. I just wanted to bring your mother back….”
“That doesn’t change the years of neglect, Gabriel. You should’ve been there for me, maybe we could’ve actually been a family but you were too stuck in your own world to notice your own son was suffering. You turned into people into monsters, no amount of excuses can ever change that. You’ve hurt so many people, no matter what you say I can’t forgive you.” Adrien replied coldly glaring down at the table.
Gabriel felt stunned for a moment. “Son, I-“
“Excuse me? Mr. Dupain-Cheng, your time is up.”
Gabriel looked at Adrien in horror. Did his son really hate him that much? To even avoid keeping his own family name.
“Adrien what-“
“I don’t want my kids to carry on your name, father. I refuse to associate them with a selfish man who terrorized others for his own needs.”
Adrien merely smirked at his father and walked off, getting escorted by a security guard on his way out.
Gabriel only looked down helplessly as he was dragged off to go back into his own prison cell. Never to see his son again.

Synopsis for the new marichat episode: Papa Garou!
I am in awe with the whole situation.
Okay first of all, I can’t blame Chat Noir for saying that, I mean he’s allowed to have feelings too. And I’m sure Marinette is not in dismay about the fact at all, so both sides aren’t hurt. What’s stressful about the episode is Marinette’s father. Honestly I’m sure he just wants what’s best for Marinette, maybe Chat Noir said it harshly? Well whatever reason, we’ll obvious get quite a few Marichat moments here. Obviously Chat Noir needs to rescue Marinette so that she could transform, so I’m pretty sure that’s one guaranteed moment (just don’t take my word for it). In any case, I just hope that in the end, the whole situation will be resolved.
I don’t have any salt for this, I’m just a bit disappointed that Chat rejects Marinette (but it’s completely okay I mean he can have his own feelings) since I’ve been seriously waiting for some good fluffy marichat.
