Arte is lying through their teeth, they love that little baby skunk and let it sleep on their pillow at night and Jam named the skunk “Lollipop” and Jam calls Arte the skunk’s mummy and Arte doesn’t even mind

Artemis, despite their at times fearsome appearance and predatory instincts, has a soft spot for teeny, fluffy animals, especially if they are young and helpless. It awakens a protective instinct in them to shelter these tiny creatures and shield them from harm. Yes, they are a predator and quite enjoy hunting, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have a nurturing side to the wildlife that needs help. Artemis has been known to fly home with orphaned or injured creatures and spend weeks diligently nursing them back to health.

ps. arte is nonbinary and identifies as neither male nor female, but rather “they”. Pls don’t argue about Arte’s gender and pronouns in the comments guys that’s def not cool
oh and bonus headcanon: Arte speaks in Luna’s olden English when they’re upset, annoyed, flustered, or god forbid, trying to be romantic (results tend to be mixed)
I imagine Arte’s voice sounds somewhere between Luna’s low pitched singing voice in the last Hearth’s Warming Eve musical episode, and the voice of Bird Person from Rick and Morty XD
