Just something silly I noticed when looking up Nino and Adrien interactions, but…

Adrien says his dad is stubborn, Nino gets this sad look on his face.  Like ‘yeah, I can get that bro.  That’s upsetting…’

BUT

When Adrien continues, when he says its easier to just go along with his dad and pretty much that he won’t fight for what makes him happy, it’s then that Nino gets this really indignant look on his face.  Like “what the heck, who makes my best friend this sad???”

Just look at this boy.

He’s so concerned.

He wants Adrien to be treated fairly.

He wants Adrien to have a good birthday.

He wants Adrien to be happy.

Nino, you’re a beautiful and wonderful friend.

things i don’t think i ever fully appreciated before: that little exchange in jackady where ladybug and nino meet up with chat noir and they say they’re looking for nino’s friend. chat first says ‘no need to look for him, he probably got hypnotized’ (which is a very automatic and very convenient excuse for chat to be around while adrien is not), but then nino get this HEARTBROKEN look and goes ‘but he’s my bud!’ and chat just. switches tracks immediately. ‘oh, that’s right…. he probably managed to hide!’ (and coincidentally dooming himself to the ‘two places at once’ thing) 
i just can’t help but read it as:
‘who cares about adrien?’
‘i care about adrien!’
’….oh.’

And he tries to get her to confess as civilians by using his best weapon: words.

Adrien: Did you see all the buzz about that new superhero?
Adrien: Give me a hive five!
