So I'm kinda new to the fan fiction side of miraculous, but do you know why people keep putting Nathaniel as sort of a main character or shipping him with either Marinette or Chloe? I can't seem to find out why

Well, I love the tomato artist.

You see there were a lot of reasons why this lovable comic fan was put in a lot of fan fiction.

1. He was the first guy to show romantic interest in Marinette. (Yes, before everyone lost their collective s*** over Luka.)

2. His introduction episode is the best one out of season 1 (And still is one of my favorites)

3. His English dub voice was one of the most charming things to come out of the series. (Listen to him confess to Marinette or gush about Marinette in Evillustrator thats some high quality stuff for them fanfic material.)

4. He was one of the most memorable akuma villains in the show. Being the first to actually resist Hawkmoth’s objective. (That was a first, and it showed Hawkmoth to be scary)

5. He is similar to Marinette pre-miraculous. At least what was shown until they tossed him back into the background character bin. (Which irritated me)

6. He had a lot of potential Character growth. (But like with 5, thrown back into the bin) I would have loved to see him get his own miraculous.

Those are at least my top five reasons as to why I think people were drawn to him. I even kind of shipped Marinette x Nathanael at one point.

(Now its all about Luka. Its fine, I still love my tomato son. I didn’t forget you. That wannabe Punk could never replace you in my heart.)
