“Dude, you got this.” Lance smiled at Keith, hand over the other boy’s. Keith nodded, sucking in another big breath.

“I…What if I get it wrong, what if I screw it up what if-” Lance cut him off, smiling and putting a hand over his mouth.

“Shush. You’ll do fine. I swear. You just read the words- oH GROSS DUDE!” Lance wiped his hands on his jeans and made a disgusted face. Keith stuck his tongue out.

“Cover my mouth again and I’ll bite you.” He said, then took another breath, “Ok, let’s do this.” He looked at the sheet of paper in front of him, gulping.

“I…I don’t know Latin, Lance.” He said, and Lance rolled his eyes.

“You think I do? I just get it from Shiro, he knows it.” Keith stifled a laugh and faced the circle of candles, gripping his lighter.

“Maybe you should read it.” He said quietly. Lance smiled, and suddenly Keith was being kissed.

As fast as he went in, Lance pulled back a few inches.

“You got this.” He said softly, then pulled back and stood, going to the other end of the circle. Keith reached up and touched his lips, then took a breath and smiled at Lance. 

The paper in front of him almost seemed to sharpen and he closed his eyes, then opened them again and began to speak.
