okay but do you really think trauma-induced amnesia would ONLY affect the past year’s worth of memories? I bet Shiro has other gaps in his memory that he just doesn’t notice because he hasn’t been around something that would make the gap visible. Like how black holes are identified by the behavior of stars around them. He’d probably do something like order the meatloaf at the Garrison cafeteria that everyone who’s been there more than a week knows to avoid.
I realized that after posting this, actually!!
Also a friend of mine suggested that Shiro might have prosopagnosia! It’s honestly an interesting read and I hope people can look into it.
