Patience and Courage

Attending the Tanabata festival had been a tradition of theirs since they were children, and this had been the first time Oikawa and Iwaizumi had attended it without friends or family.

There had been a strange, almost tangible air of tension between the two of them since Oikawa had rung Iwaizumi’s doorbell earlier that day.

He had been grinning from ear to ear with a mask in hand, twirling on the spot asking, “how do I look Iwa-chan? Handsome as ever, right?”

Iwaizumi had wanted to admit it all to Oikawa right then and there, but swallowed the words back, lightly flicking him on the cheek instead.

They were just taking a walk round the barns til a wrestle match broke out - first to get pinned on their back is the loser.

Loser: has to wash the dishes that night
winner: gets to smooch the loser (and blow raspberries on his tummy)
