ocean spirit lance from my nature spirit au
he’s mostly made of condensed water, but he has a solid, merman-like tail. the gills aren’t for breathing per se but they do filter water, purifying it and circulating it through his being to then be fed back into the ocean. he likes making big swarms of bubbles for dolphins to swim through and sending small, freezing currents to circulate around keith’s volcano to annoy him.

au where lance is an ocean spirit and keith is a volcano spirit. they first meet at the bottom of the ocean and they don’t get along at first but as the centuries pass they get closer and closer. by the time keith’s volcano has formed an island they’re best friends and often meet on the shore. millenia after that, the modern residents of the island have local legends about them but they never stop to think that the two guys laughing and running and building sand castles and pushing each other into the water and cuddling on the sand are the legendary spirits that formed their home.
