What if Coran isn’t 650 years old?

So there are two pieces of information we get from Coran in season one.

1) That the castle was 650 years old before they went into 10,000 year sleep and that it was built by his grandfather

2) That Coran was alive and watching his grandfather build the castle

So the assumption is that Coran is ~650 years old and that Alteans have a very long lifespan. But that begs the question, whose year are we going by?

What is Altea is actually a Mercury-type planet that is incredibly close to its dwarf sun and completes a year’s orbit in only ~80 days? What if Coran and Allura can’t possibly match up their birthdays to an earth equivalent month because the orbit and rotation of Altea simply don’t analogue to earth?
