What’s it like to grow up in a large Cuban family

Okay so I’m writing a Cuban character (Lance from Voltron), but I have no exposure to Cuban culture and I want to portray it accurately. I also come from a small family (only one sibling).
I don’t want to incorrectly portray this so I’m either doing it right or not at all

Ughh honestly I’ve never felt as connected to a fictional character as much as I do as Lance, he’s such a ray of sunshine on the outside but he’s so real because of his growing need to prove himself, and he never stops trying.
