Flip Flappers is my bet on the best anime ever since KLK.
I uh can’t give any constructive thoughts on it yet, only excited squeaking. There’s just 3 episodes for now.. Watch it solely for the cool animation, regret or not later. It might turn into Madoka.. Might not, haha. Huge space for theorycrafting, but I doubt it could go this dark.
Character designs aren’t genius so I don’t wanna invest into more “serious” fanart.. Yet. Things might change. :9 Still I went to doodle them because geez! Several hours after watching it I’m still a little spaced out. It was SO GOOD.
What does it feel like.. KLK and Diebuster epicness level (also can’t stop thinking about the main character resemblance), Hanayamata shoujo-ness and gayness, Jinrui wa suitai shimashita fantasy touch (ending omfg!!), even some works of Studio 4′C. Yeah. It’s got crazy potential and my best marks. Hope the rest of the series will be as good as I’m expecting now. <3 Go watch it if you love insane quality, colorful, beautiful animation!
P.S. Found what else it reminds me of, it’s Cassette Girl short movie.
