If you’re annoyed that Marinette is causing another akuma, you should know that she’s not meant to be the perfect hero. She’s not written as a girl who can’t do anything wrong. She’s flawed. She’s an obsessive stalker. She gets jealous. She’s impulsive. She steals phones.  She’s not perfect. She’s going to cause akumas and she’s going to grow as a person.

I’m more irritated that its pretty much the EXACT SAME PLOT as Vulpina.  And given that Adrien is the one so angry, it would have made more sense for him to cause the akuma rather than Marinette.  Even if it had to be Marinette, they could have done something a little more original than the whole Vulpina plot rehashed with Santa instead of Lila.

@yueh-chan the episode hasn’t….come out yet? You can’t say it’s the exact same plot unless you’ve actually seen it, can you? If you have already seen it, good for you. Marinette caused an akuma, that doesn’t make the plot unoriginal. Chloe “caused” Evillustrator and “caused” Dark Cupid, but that doesn’t make either episode unoriginal.

Also, here’s the quote from the ML wiki, you’ll notice that Adrien isn’t angry in the slightest, I even bolded it for you.

And I could write a novel on how Adrien is very deliberate and works very hard not to hurt anyone’s feelings whatsoever, but I don’t have to prove that here because the plot of the episode, which isn’t released, says it for me. He’s not angry. Instead of lashing out, he leaves. He’s sad. 

Lastly, please re-read the plot of the Christmas special, and the plot of Volpina. Unless I missed something about Santa being in love with Adrien and Ladybug being jealous over it, they’re nothing alike, except that Marinette “causes” the akuma. If that’s the issue, refer to my original post.
