Kwami swap with mari as hawkmoth! I believe that since ladybugs superpowers are more active than hawkmoth’s mari would not have gotten the same confidence boost, so she retains a similar personality to what she had in the beginning of the origins episode.
I wanna add on that in the beginning she was terrified of facing any danger or monster until it was super necessary. Imagine her making really cool heros because the designer in her has so much fun with it
but they all got super terrible names and she just stammering as she ask them to go help someone out and everyone is talking about this like super magical witch or something that has like speech problems but giving paris a different hero daily and she just gets super offended like

one time when Gabriel broke the heros item that made them miraculous and Adrien is left on his own is when Mari finally goes into the battle herself sense she can only make one hero per transformation and did her best to help him out and save the day yay!!

Yes, this is exactly along the lines of what i was thinking! Mari uses her butterflies to make contracts with others rather than posses them, and id like to think the first person she gave powers to was Alya because she knew how much she wanted to be a hero! Gabriel as chat is kinda akward lmao, but i was thinking something along this desgin so the villain can maintain his “”””mysterious”””” identity like he does in the show??
