• what i mean: the unspoken hero of episode 9 is actually yuri plisetsky's post-communism grandpa who found out that his grandson really likes katsudon. he probably went home and spent all night finding out what this dish is and figured out how to perfectly incorporate it into pirozhki so that yuri could enjoy them. the pirozhki are then shared with yuuri which brings out the purest smile from yuri that we've seen in this entire show because he's so thankful for his grandpa. yuri's grandpa brought together russia and japan in more ways than just a delicious katsudon pirozhki.
