Am I the only one who noticed that Akira and Ryo fursonas are Lord Shen and boss wolf from Kung Fu Panda 2?

Their aesthetics are the same and their stories follow a similar formula. The higher class sociopath who loves guns minipulates his kind naive (boy)friend into committing atrocities for him. And in the end when their (boy)friend turns on them their killed.

Both are left with nothing in the end.
