I’ve been reading about the figure skating jumps, more specifically about quadruple/quad jumps, and found some interesting facts. The quad flip that Yuri performed in his free program on Grand Prix Final is an extremely rare and difficult jump. To get a better idea of this, the first time a skater managed to land it cleanly in an official competition was in April 2016! The skater who performed this feat was the 19 year old Japanese Shoma Uno, this happened in the Team Challenge Cup competition in the USA. This just shows us how incredible Yuri is by having landed the quad flip (just like Victor).
